  • Phil Pugliese and Winks break down the differences between these two skis. Both of which you'd be happy to have on a deep powder day. One is more playful, while the other a little more on the serious side. Which one is right for you? We'll help you figure that out.

I have BC 100s. I like the playfulness and light weight. They float surprisingly well in pow but once tracked out my day is done as they’re too light for that. I’m thinking the blanks will be a better choice that I can run all day.

The Salomons are a bit stronger than the BEnt 100's for sure. you don't need to go as wide as the Blank and consider the QST106

are the blank skis good in trees on very very deep powder days?

Honestly, both of these skis are.

@@skitalkdotcom would it be pointless to have both skis in your quiver or are they different enough that it’s ok?

@@michaelnite1311in most cases I suspect it’s pointless. They serve quite similar purposes, being more smeary powder skis around the 110 width, so you aren’t getting a significant difference between the two. Probably the only case I could see someone getting both is if they have a large quiver (like 6+ skis) and do a mix of touring and resort skiing, and so want a ski for resort powder days and a ski for touring in powder, then you could put a touring binding on the bent 110 (being a bit lighter) and have a full alpine binding on the Blank. But if you are using them for the same applications there’s no reason to get both, you would want to look for skis that have more of a difference in feel, application, or skiing style.

Shitty review. No clear opinion or recommendation, even though the skis are clearly different.

We don't choose one over the other, we tell you about both, then you decide what is better for you.

@@skitalkdotcom ok what's the key takeaways then? When should I choose one over the other?
