When Dimash in January of 2017 accepted the invitation to compete with known singers in China he was only 22. He turned 23 during The Singer Competition in 2017. Since he was the only non Chinese Singer in this competition he was the first person to sing. That’s when he sang the song SOS. His 2nd song was Opera 2. His dad unbeknownst to him was in the audience to surprise him. The 3rd song he sang was a Cover of Freddie Mercury’s song The Show must go on. His English was not so good at that time but so what, there are many Americans who only speak English and can’t speak it properly so I wish they would think about their own English speaking skills which in many is ridiculously embarrassing. SOS is a French song and there were negative comments because he pronounced a word ending in the letter s which should be silent. I had no clue because I don’t speak French or any other language. That was good to hear. I learned something new. Dimash said at an interview that he hopes the audience would understand him when he sings in other languages because of his strong accent but he has gotten so, so much better with his English. I am so proud of him. When he sings in other languages, I can’t tell you what he’s singing but I can feel what he’s singing because he sings with so much emotion. Dimash is very fluent in Russian and of course Kazakh. What I love about Dimash is that every song he sings, he knows what each word means. Unlike me, I may like and sing a song in another language but do not have a clue what I am singing. Dimash has been professionally trained since age 5 and to me, he is the best singer in this World. Like any sport, if you want to be great, you have to work really hard and that is what Dimash has done. He loves his job because he’s doing what he loves to do. Good for him. Many good singers can learn so much from him. I understand that he’s working on his doctorate degree in music. With Dimash being so gifted, talented, loved, admired by people around the Globe is also a respectful and extremely humble young man. His family means the world to him. He has named his millions of Fans Dears. Dimash does not sing songs with profanity in them, nor does he have half naked, booty shaking dancers. All of his songs are filled with emotion that sends a message that I really appreciate. Notice when he dances with a woman, it is always respectful. So, again SOS was the very first song sung at the competition in 2017 and Dimash, the Dark Horse, was the very first to sing. He was loved by all in China and that’s where his fame to stardom began. He didn’t even understand why he needed security around him all the time. He did not know just how popular he became. He is 27 now and just look how far he has come in such a short time. Speaking of the lyrics, this song was written and performed by a young Frenchman who died at age tweedy-three, of cystic fibrosis, while waiting for a lung transplant. I am certain that Dimash knew the backstory.

He is the best singer I've ever heard and I've sung in a few countries and listened to a few (hundred thousand RUclips performances). I have to take breaks from listening to him after periods of immersion. I approach again thinking he can't be as good as I had believed originally. Hua Chenyu is a Chinese performer of similar quality to Dimash. They are both absolutely dedicated professionals! I love Hua Hua, and his followers are called Martians. I was engrossed with Hua when someone suggested I might like Dimash. I LOVE Dimash! I call him a true Renaissance prince! I have to listen to Dimash every day. You will not find a better vocalist in my opinion. Check out his latest Ikanaide which he performed in Japanese for the Tokyo Jazz Festival. It is just him in a studio singing his heart out due to Covid restrictions. It is just breathtakingly beautiful.

I agree. If that unique, angelic voice was used only to banal, meaningless songs, it would be an awful waste. It just wouldn't make sense. I love Dimash's voice and music because it's so beautiful, emotional and spiritual. His wide range and skills are a miracle, but how he uses them is more important. Dimash is an artist with substance for sure. He touches to the core with his soulful voice, and his art is endlessly diverse and deep. It really offers something to think about, new ideas, cultures, whole new worlds. I feel he is a transcendental artist.

Unlike me, I may like and sing a song in another language but do not have a clue what I am singing. Dimash has been professionally trained since age 5 and to me, he is the best singer in this World. Like any sport, if you want to be great, you have to work really hard and that is what Dimash has done. He loves his job because he’s doing what he loves to do. Good for him. Many good singers can learn so much from him. I understand that he’s working on his doctorate degree in music. With Dimash being so gifted, talented, loved, admired by people around the Globe is also a respectful and extremely humble young man. His family means the world to him. He has named his millions of Fans Dears. Dimash does not sing songs with profanity in them, nor does he have half naked, booty shaking dancers. All of his songs are filled with emotion that sends a message that I really appreciate. Notice when he dances with a woman, it is always respectful. So, again SOS was the very first song sung at the competition in 2017 and Dimash, the Dark Horse, was the very first to sing. He was loved by all in China and that’s where his fame to stardom began. He didn’t even understand why he needed security around him all the time. He did not know just how popular he became. He is 27 now and just look how far he has come in such a short time. To work with Igor Krutoy, a great renowned composer and maestro who came out of retirement to work with Dimash is a big deal. I am 64 and he’s my Vocal Prince.

He is the best singer I've ever heard and I've sung in a few countries and listened to a few (hundred thousand RUclips performances). I have to take breaks from listening to him after periods of immersion. I approach again thinking he can't be as good as I had believed originally. And then he brings new tools, richer bass notes, more sensitivity....this time it was Ikanaide from Tokyo Jazz.
I, as well will take breaks from certain artists I believe to be great....mainly to listen to other artists before forming an opinion as to such titles as best singer alive. Hua Chenyu is a Chinese performer of similar quality to Dimash. They are both absolutely dedicated professionals! I love Hua Hua, and his followers are called Martians. I was engrossed with Hua when someone suggested I might like Dimash. I LOVE Dimash! I call him a true Renaissance prince! I have to listen to Dimash every day.

It is a part of an french Rock-Pop opera released in 1979: Starmania. One of the 5 most difficult songs in French language. It was recorded by Daniel Balavoine in 1979 or so and Grégory Lemarchal won of the French reality singing competition Star Academy 2014 with this song.

You will not find a better vocalist in my opinion. Check out his latest Ikanaide which he performed in Japanese for the Tokyo Jazz Festival. It is just him in a studio singing his heart out due to Covid restrictions. It is just breathtakingly beautiful.

I agree. If that unique, angelic voice was used only to banal, meaningless songs, it would be an awful waste. It just wouldn't make sense. I love Dimash's voice and music because it's so beautiful, emotional and spiritual. His wide range and skills are a miracle, but how he uses them is more important. Dimash is an artist with substance for sure. He touches to the core with his soulful voice, and his art is endlessly diverse and deep. It really offers something to think about, new ideas, cultures, whole new worlds. I feel he is a transcendental artist.

If you love DImash, then you might want to take a look at Hua Chenyu (also know as Hua Hua). There are great singers, and then there are great artists. Hua Hua is the definition of a great artist. His skill sets include: flawlessly mixing genres within songs, exceptional stage presence, delivery of emotion, brilliantly recomposing songs, and composing his own masterpieces. In some of his songs for a competition, he has to rewrite covers within 24 hours, and he developed new masterpieces.
