You could definitely show more of the racing. I feel like we missed out on some good overtakes by Callum as he worked his way up in his second race. Remember that we are not scared of longer videos!
Right is like you got the footage so a 20-30 min video is fine. Back in the day 5-10min was a decent video as this was basically a longer version of tik tok. Now days this is people main form of entertainment even over televison which we were used to watching 30 to hour long shows.
@@jekanyika wondering the same, if it wasn't for Seb's comment I would have totally missed that video which I just finished and is simply amazing! Entertaining from start to finish with super close racing from everyone
Cool! I was racing a Suzuki RM250, 2 stroke kart for many years in New Zealand. It was an older motor, but still had around 45Hp. A tricky electronic ignition with a flat shift gear linkage ensured it was very quick through the 'box. Our karts and family values were the same as UK and I KNOW how much fun this sport is. Glad you guys enjoyed it!
You guys should try the 24-hours of lemons you take a $500 and under car and race it. It s an American sport though you would probably have to get a car and ship it to the US or get a car in the US and build it there the only non $500 parts are the safety components like roll cages seats and other things the car itself including mechanical modifications and physical modifications again not including safety is $500 and under. It's a pretty fun sport if you have two days and a cheap car also the car can be anything except motorcycles and go-karts you can have a pickup truck a hatchback, station wagon a convertible literally you can have anyting that has four wheels
UK gets all the best racing stuff. Trying to find something similar to this, the lawnmowers, caterham, in the US/Canada is a nightmare. If there is anything its much more expensive and requires A LOT of travel :(
Well, for something like this, all you really need are go-karts, a field, and a date. And also one of those liability waivers for people to sign. Athough, buying a go-kart isn't super cheap. Considering how much places with a track charge for rentals. The cost reduction for just doing it in a field would probably be significant. If you live in a small town, setting something like this up probably wouldn't be too hard.
theres no way its easier to do this in the uk than in the north america, you could buy a couple acres somewhere for 10k and even make your own dirt track, in the uk it would be a fortune.
I've seen some folks in Canada that just rally street cars in a field. You just probably need some good Waivers and to own the land... I wonder what neighbors would think, so more remote the better
I love seeing events with proper setup. There are so many things that should have medical aid on site that just skip over it. Good on the event management.
I've decided that on every one of these videos where they try other types of motorsport, I will suggest they look at BriSCA F1/F2 or National 2L Saloon stock cars. I'd love to see them have a shot at them
That looks like so much fun. Some more footage of the racing and Scott's last run would be better imo. It could even be a standalone upload for people who like watching wheels and engines go in circles.
Yep they do. Had the field not been soaked we would have had a bigger track. Unfortunately field was water logged which was a shame but hey ho. We all had fun that's the main thing.
The Banger racing of karting 😢 is this where all the old 2 stroke rotax engines and Tony Kart chassis’s go to die . 😂😜😵💫. No matter how cheap you think karting is just add £500 to a grand a weekend and you won’t be far off ( from experience) .
60 HP is high but not impossible out of a 250 2 stroke, would require very agressive porting that would make it all top end however. Also depends if you count crank or wheel horsepower i suppose, before transmission losses 60hp is pretty reasonable.
I've wanted to try my hand at racing and for that kinda price. I already have a van so that's sorted and I've just looked up my nearest course and it's this exact one, 30 minutes from me
this channel is for me like TopGear US. I loved the show and cast. 2 crazy guy's and one crazy pro driver. Like here. And also like here the crazy and funny challenges. love it.
The four stroke one they start on is a Honda Cbr 125. I had a quick look on ebay last night due to various comments saying it was impossible to do that cheap. Found an Engine for £250, Chassis rolling for £165. Just required back bar making and a radiator.
Having horsepower is one thing, getting it on the ground is something else entirely. Just ask the 500HP street drag racers that beat 800HP cars in bumpy public roads.
I think it probably is the cheapest, it’s definitely the cheapest motorsport I’ve done by an absolute mile. I bought by kart (cbr125) for £700 I think fully built ready to race , used it for 3 seasons at all 3 clubs ,sold it for £300. And it had won plenty of races. I really don’t know why it’s not a bigger sport . Took my daughter to Wisbech last week to watch the c70s she wants ago , thought they could start at 5 tho not 7 😆.
I really wanna see what the next size up from this would look like. Stuff with full suspension and ATV-sized wheels and tires, but close to the same footprint.
Anyone know how or where I can get a kart like this? I've been looking but they're either MUCH more expensive than what they said, or they're really rubbish ones. Thanks 👍
I think the cheapest Motorsport exist in Germany. We call it Go Kart-Slalom and you can drive it in the range from 6 - 18 years or you drive the bigger one 270er Kart Slalom from 12 - open end.
This being the cheapest motorsport is like buying a Maserati Quattroporte is buying the cheapest luxury barn. Yes, it's cheap to buy. But then you have to mend it every quarter mile or so. Hilarious fun though!
I think the 75. There's a lot of modern electronics in there that will fail and will be awkward to fix. Plus it's good money to help fix one of your others.
Guys, we need an update to all the projects you guys had taken up, what happened to the BMW? The Subaru? The Porches? 500 pound challenge cars?
