Height is safety, that’s what I was taught with paragliding and it’s the same with this. Height enables you thinking and reaction time. If you’re skimming the ground as soon as you’ve noticed it’s going wrong it’s likely too late.

Thanks for this. I have been STRUGGLING to fly FPV manual and have all the sims. I struggled with Uncrashed as well. But after hearing that's what you used, I tried it again but this time I didn't go through their training (which was frustrating). Instead, I found an Avata 2 in the community workshop and just went straight into flying around parks and through icebergs with ease. So thrilling. That's when it all finally clicked for me and while I'm still no expert, I'm finding it a lot more fun and getting better after every hour.

Considering you were narrating and flying at the same time you did great! You are correct about flying in the sim is a huge help. Great job!

you could try increasing your rates a bit for faster roll and pitch movements which will give you time to re throttle and make you NOT lose a lot of altitude

Do you. have any videos on how to setup uncrashed with the controller 3? Ive flown drones for years and the motion controller is getting binned as I can't use that. I find it easier using the controller but not manual mode yet. Ive been using uncrushed but movements seem all wrong compared to actual flying the avatar.

Hmmm, I have not created a video on that. I just plugged my controller in and started practicing.

The top light on the drone is flashing red. I couldn't get it to fly. It gives a battery cell error, I wonder why.

Make sure that you have everything updated and all of the calibrations have been done.

Yes! Take your time to learn the simulator and then go out and about with your drone. I spent hours in the simulator.

Hi, I’ve just arrived in Australia and I also have the DJI Avata 2. Do I need any kind of license or certification to fly it? Thanks in advance.

Good question, I would always recommend contacting CASA directly and asking them about their expectations as rules, regulations and flight requirements can change frequently. Feel free to check out my drone deals and resources for people living in Australia: linktr.ee/danstubetv

Try practicing more in a flight simulator like “Uncrashed”.

I think you're trying those barrel rolls way too low. Try them higher up and you have time to recover.

I figured that out later in the video. Thanks for the advice 🤩

Try change expo on controller gain settings (add more a fire +0.1 points)
