This is about havin' a good time! A spontaneous recording session led to this song appearing on the new album "Love, Gratitude and Other Distractions". Features Billy Gibbons, Allen Toussaint, Shawn Pelton and myself. Mostly recorded in one day, I was lucky to have a bit of iPhone video and Sandrine Lee shot some performance footage. Giulio Carmassi edited and made it even more fun.Thanks to Thorsten Sideboard and Marilyn Yusuf for the extra footage! As Allen Toussaint himself would say "Funky as it wanna be"! The guy in the video is our friend music journalist Jim Bessman, making a cameo. Engineer Glenn Ianaro can also be spotted. Hope you dig it!!

In 1967 us suburban white punks used to love Paul Butterfield. This was a staple of every band I knew. But Billy Gibbons and Allen Toussaint. Jeez, it doesn't get better than this
I'm a harp player who owe much of his style to Paul Butterfield. And we all owe Allen Toussaint a ton for his many great songs!
some from The Bronx were so into PB Band. We caught them at Cafe Au Go Go whenever they were in town

I have a video on my channel (Crystal Longdon here on the Tube) that you might like if you have not seen it...it's from an old Leon Russel live performance...I used pics from a different live show with Leon from around the same period because I couldn't find any from the actual show. He does a great version on that piano...

THE sheer genius of ZZ TOP'S Billy Gibbons, one of the few guitarists to be able to play rhythm and lead at the same time, not to mention a terrific blues voice that gets better with age!!!!
