- This weekend ad FD Orlando was wild! We dropped the new livery for the Porsche drift car. Had the 318ti, foxbody, and the Evo as booth cars with Type S and Nitto. Friday we helped Ben Hobson get more comfortable in the RTR. Watched some battles and got hype! Then we loaded up all the cars, it took multiple trips, but we made it happen. Then after then event we had some fun ripping at LZ’s.

The footage from the glasses during the lap is rad, it really helps illustrate the vision you need. Hopefully we will see more of it in the future!

Left foot brake doesn’t slow the car down like you think it does. It adds angle. Just because the brake lights are on doesn’t mean they are slowing down.

That Cadillac xlr drift car is sickk
I love those things, it's a shame they fucked up the head gasket sealing on the Northstar, because other than that the chassis/engine combo could've been amazing. The XLR-V had a supercharged version that revved out past 7k if I remember correctly.

@@Josh-th8by It's the same base chassis, just with a different body and an interior that wasn't shit lol. As for the LS, I kinda wish they would've made a dedicated performance version of the Northstar. Those DOHC heads have a stupid amount of flow, to the point that GM probably could've had a BMW S65 equivalent in it that would've sounded nuts.

im a touge driver looking to start drifting. in todays used car market, what is the best bang for the buck in drift cars? im looking at e36 bmw. open to all types of cars. just starting. no miata, very confused on proper mustang builds.

Totally agree that omt was unnecessary, they both did fire chases and leads but James had much better angle
More proximity in his chase too. They just saw him bump connor at the end of the track and used that as an excuse for OMT. The judges tried 100% to fix the shit that happened in Long beach by giving connor a win.

cant imagine the pressure and stress of driving FD being better than having lunch with some homies, getting shitfaced before the event, buying merch during halftime and screaming at drivers during their runs
There was people cracking up watching the FD stream because we could hear the hollering, i had a feeling you may have been part of it 😂
Which of the 2 would you see as the better run, matching angle with the lead car but a slight gap between cars, or , a shallower angle than the lead car but you're able to give the lead car a few taps with your front wheel?
I notice Conor will happily sacrifice angle for proximity compared to some other drivers but there seems to be quite a reward from the judges for it. I kind of wonder why more drivers dont do it. Pretty sure i've seen James do it quite a bit aswell whether it's a driftmasters style thing or i dont know
I reckon a small sacrifice of angle for proximity is way cooler and more exciting. Driftmasters and idc always rewarded that style more.
Back a fraction a matching angle also looks really good just not as high on the entertaining side

@@chelseadenofa lol. You could definitely watch someone do a lap and tell them what to try different on the next lap. Especially on a track they don’t know. Just like you do when you watch someone at an event except you don’t have to wait for a tire change and fuel
