This episode destroyed me. First when Lana died, I thought she really died at first, so I was just bawling and reacting off how bad Clark was in shock, but then the whole time continuum thing happened and I was relieved. But then Jonathan died and I knew he was dead for real because Clark had already used his chance card with Lana. I also knew that was the beginning of the end for Clark and Lana too. Ohh the memories. Ohh my heart!!
Wao this guy AL was one of the great minds behind the greatest shows I’ve ever watched with my wife and kids Thanks Al Lex Luther was on point very good
I love yalls podcast. Tom welling the best superman. The only superman. And Michael Rosenbaum as lex the best of the best. Man I love yall. Keep it going. I Thank yall for all the great nostalgic memories. Ps. Cant wait to watch the animated series. Much love ✌️
Maybe it's just a false memory, but I thought Jonathan softened his stance on Lex a bit. Maybe he was still wary, but I thought at one point he said he was proud of him for trying to distance himself from Lionel. Maybe just my imagination?
Funny Kristin actually wanted Lana to have a tragic glorious death....she’s said she is a fan girl of tragic love stories.... Al never said this about Kristin before in my memory.
An amazing episode but not the best one. For me season 5 was really good but season 6 felt more solid and Clark was darker that season IMO and he gets closer to Chloe. I know Michael feels Chloe is just better as friend but Don Whitehead one of the producers said years ago that the door was being left open for Clark and Chloe for something more than just friends. The 100th episode is important if any show gets to that point. Supernatural thought season 5 was going to be their final season and they went 10 more lol 😂 Every episode of season 6 is strong IMO. The only one I wasn’t fond of was “Static.” I’ve seen season 6 probably over a 100 times. This is the season though that Lex leaves his relationship with Clark behind and goes down the dark path and come season 6 he could care less about Clark and even tells him so in season 6 when he said “when I thought you mattered.” Please have Jensen and Justin Hartley on soon.
Al…. What are you doing? Seriously. I don’t think ANY of you have a clue as to how good that show was. Take a look at today’s “flash” or “Superman & Louis” and you will throw up within 15 seconds. They are absolutely bland, depressing, uninteresting, repetitive, pathetic. But his is a blessing in disguise for YOU GUYS, here is why: Look, you are all reasonably still young, and Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are still alive, why not come back? All of you, pick it up where you left off. Think about it all Tom Welling would have to do is diet till his abs come back (if 60 year old Hugh Jackman can do it for Wolverine, Tom being much younger can do it too) Why would this work? Because EVERYTHING that came after you is absolute crap. Certifiable crap. Don’t wait another 20 yrs till you are too old. DO IT NOW. You will be #1 from the beginning, you have the “Dream team” of actors writers, producers and are all reasonably young. GO DO WHAT YOU DO BEST! Give it another try! (you are not 60, don’t wait until you are)
Mike playing Lex he was phenomenal. 🔥
Fabulous episode great acting
Love getting Al’s thoughts and information about the show🙂
"Reckoning" will always deserve 100 Roses!

Omg same I was huge Clana fan... I cried as well especially when the dad died as well.
I remember the funeral scene. That was one of the few times I actually cried. This and Pete leaving was two of my favorite moments in the show.
To me this began the shift of the overall tone of the series, from a teen drama to a more mature show.

Nice idea, but I don't think they really want to revive it as live action, unfortunately
