This is genuinely one of the best Smallville panels I've seen! Some really interesting questions from the audience, and good in-depth insightful responses from Tom! I love it when Michael's on board, but I get the sense he wants to rush, but these solo panels give Tom alot more space to breathe.
tom é uma cara muito legal. simples humilde. amei o fato dele falar que o calrk ficou mais engraçado quando a lois apareceu. acho q eles se completam demais. amo todas as versões de lois e clark ❤
6:14 Tom's such a Clois fan and he's 100% right his whole aura and energy changed with Lois & Erica being added to the show. That's why Clark and Lois are the power couple. I talked to him at his table this past weekend and he was telling me the same thing about how he sees himself so differently with Lois which is absolutely loves and how much fun he has with her. It's liberating and wants to see more of it every time. He said he can't wait for the later seasons on Talkville bc he really enjoyed the last 3 seasons bc he had more fun.
Tom Welling is spot on about Lois. Lois really brings out the best in Clark and their chemistry is fantastic. There was a major shift when Lois/Erica was brought in, as Tom mentions he was looser, more effective and more grown up and Erica made it fun for Tom and it showed, you could see Tom/Clark shine- we finally saw his personality, wits and sass, like Tom said his HUMOR. Tom got to finally break out. I can see why Tom was pushing the rom com aspect with Lois because it's something he likes and he's made for. But I agree, Clark was epic around Lois- whereas with others characters he kind of looked very one dimensional and boring.
Thanks so much for sharing this panel! I've been patiently waiting for this one. It's nice when we get Tom doing solo panels every once in a while, though I did love the previous one at Steel City with Erica as well.
Glad you enjoyed it! I was glad I had the opportunity to moderate Tom one-on-one. I'm sure the one at Steel City Con was fun. Unfortunately, they decided to not have us come out and record panels anymore.
@@FandomSpotlite I forgot to say that because it was after midnight that I posted that comment (just came back home from work) that I'd watch it later lol. I'll look forward to watching it sometime today. :) That's a shame that Steel City didn't invite you back. Fortunately, someone else filmed and shared that panel! I'm so grateful to everyone who does this and to the cons that allow filming of the panels. Not all of them do.
Thanks for uploading this! I was at the Steel City Con, and Erica and Tom were great there too. I want to mention something that some fans may hate me for, but oh well. What Tom said about the Crisis Cameo: he isn't SURE if it's his Clark or not. He did not say that it definitely was not. Based on his words, it could've very well been Smallville's Clark all along. I honestly think he mentions this now at Cons to appease fans that were critical of the Smallville cameo, that it's okay to interpret it as you will. IMO he didn't completely understand what multiverse meant in context of the Crisis on Infinite Earth's episodes. Plus, I had a long conversation with Erica Durance at the Steel City Con, and I specifically asked if I was interpreting it correctly, that the Cameo was supposed to be "our" Lois and Clark from Smallville, just many years after the series ended. She told me that I interpreted it right, and my artist's instincts were correct (I asked because I'm doing an art project based on the Smallville Cameo, and I wanted to make sure I understood it right since I'm going to be showing it to Tom and Erica at the Smallville Con this October.) That meant the world to me, because it was weighing heavy on my mind. She's awesome in person (so is Tom - I felt nothing but good energy/vibes from both of them.) My theory is that it is Smallville's Clark, but an older/more mature version (Tom has actually said that's how he played it.) He could've given his powers up (most likely temporarily even) for any number of reasons. I read that the people who made the Crisis on Infinite Earth's episodes were trying to incorporate all the different shows (and a couple movies) that featured superheroes. Smallville kinda started it all when it came to doing superhero-related shows on TV, so they wanted to include it...based on that and other info the producers of that multi episode event explained, it was intended to be our Smallville, not a version the audience wouldn't know. But, I think Tom has said, I don't know if it was my Clark or not, because it was a one-scene moment and so it couldn't possibly explain everything that happened to Clark and his family from the ending of Smallville to the moment of the Cameo scene, in the script. Plus, many fans have been critical of the Cameo (they have valid reasons, don't get me wrong,) so I think Tom throws around the word multiverse to explain things to people who may criticize it. The Smallville TV show that we know and love was it's OWN universe, so it would have been part of the greater multiverse all along. Anyway, that's just my take - not trying to hate on anyone at all!
