@@nbnguitar You have a gift to explain, it didn’t work out for me on notes and tablatures. You well explained the difficult points and where the difficulties arose. Right what you need. Thank you again!!! Good luck !!!
so far and thanks to you i can play all the parts befor min 2:18 when it really gets tricky , but i ll just keep trying . you are one of the best , coolest and nicest techers on youtube .
Hello my friend Joshua! This is Elias. I live in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. I'm your fan; beautiful interpretation. I've already subscribed to your RUclips channel, and I'm getting all of your posts. Strong hug! Sorry for the mistakes. Unfortunately, I don't speak English. I'm using Google Translate.
@@nbnguitar Takamine is superb quality, i have a takamine acoustic, but I recently acquired a yamaha c40II and am shocked that I had not picked up a nylon string guitar sooner, its changed my life!
@@AMgangwolf I've always been a fan of the Yamaha classical guitar range because they're solid, well-made instruments at an excellent price point. It is life changing isn't it?
@@AMgangwolf you're too kind. Actually, I really enjoy chatting with the people that are gracious enough to leave comments. Sadly, I can't answer all these days but I try my best.
This is magic !!! I was watching your tutorial on this piece today, I wanted to learn it, but you have to have specific tune for it, so I went back to Milonga. Nicely played :) !
Thank you. You're right in that this piece requires drop D tuning. Interestingly Milonga is the same key but it doesn't require a retune - good old Jorge knew what he was up to.
Hi Malie. This is one of the best pieces surely and that sentiment is confirmed by how many videos there are of people playing it on RUclips. Good to see you again and thank you for your high opinion of my performance :)
I'm happy I got it done too Bogumil. It's a toughy for sure but it had to be done as part of my promise to everyone to record all full playthroughs of every lesson that I've uploaded. Good to hear from you again.
I can tell .This tune is hard enough play and phrase well, but you also managed great sound. It takes a lot of work. I'm still plodding through the opening section! Keep up the good work!
Thanks thornton. I missed a few notes here and there but it's ok. As long as it's good enough to help people see how it is played using the fingering in my scores then I did well.
That is a very great piece, well played Joshua, God bless you and keep up the great work, I just wish you could upload the second part of the tutorial of that piece to youtube, I'll really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
Honestly I'm flattered Steven. I don't really rate myself compare to the likes of Rafael Aguirre, Ana Vidovic et al but I think my strength lies in teaching and being able to explain things in a relatively simple way. I'll be uploading for the foreseeable future :)
Although this guitar isn’t expensive compared to high-end classical guitars it is too expensive for Amazon sellers to stock. Your best bet is to purchase from a reputable dealer like Siccas or Albambra if you can’t find one locally.
I have a question for you Josh, or anybody who plays guitar actually. I'm learning a lot from you with Tarrega's song but I'm playing on an acoustic guitar because i do not own any classical guitar yet. In what way do you think this may ruin the song or my learning ?
Jacob use whatever guitar you have available. I went through a rough patch financially quite a few years ago and I was playing Metallica/Megadeth on a guitar with 5 strings (true story)! When you have the opportunity get yourself a classical but until such a time don't worry about it - just keep letting your fingers fly!
To elaborate I find that it's actually trickier to play this music on an acoustic because of the string spacing but easier because you don't have to stretch as far...it's a bit of give and take I reckon. Pros & cons.
My commitment in 2018 is to upload full recordings to match all of the tutorial pieces that I have uploaded to the channel. This should assist you all in learning the piece. Let your fingers fly!
Thx Josh
joshua rogers Thanks 🙏🏼 Josh
You're welcome. Good to know you're still around porkyo123!
You're welcome jacob.
awesome
most beautiful key change in any song ever
The shift to sub-dominant major (F) is a thing of beauty.
I believe your tutorial for this piece will make it easier for everyone including me (of course). God bless you.
Thank you Long Tran. May the force be with you!
It was a great performance. It is also a great delicacy for those who study the part to take close-up on the keyboard. thank you so much.
Thank you and you are more than welcome
Благодаря тебе, мне удалось выучить Аделиту и Лагриму. У Вас очень здорово получается объяснять все сложные моменты. Удачи Вам!!!

You're too kind once again Amadeus. This Takamine has been really good to me down through the years. Which guitar are you playing on at home?

Indeed, there are various play of this amazing piece on RUclips. I wonder how the original sounded like!
Hearing Tárrega play it would be a defining moment. Sadly this cannot be but thankfully we can all imagine how it may have sounded.

That was Awesome .. any videos of yours about left hand back thump?
Thanks Hamad. Check my playlist for guitar technique. There should be something in there where I explain the thumb position for the left hand.

What kind of guitar is this?
Takamine TH5C Hirade

Wonderful buddy. I hope one day I’ll be able to play this bad boy 😬
Thanks buddy. Obviously a lot of work to bring it up to scratch but it's so worth it!
joshua rogers It is that 😉
Same bro, I’m literally buying a classical just to play this
nice dude ..... nice
Thanks heaps dude :)
Wow thank you so much I love you ✌

Hey Joshua. I want to buy your guitar. Please . But this guitar out of stock in Amazon (1 year). What to do.
not buy...

Lovely! Gran Vals next? :D
Thanks Frank. Hmmm it isn't next but it's coming!
How much time take you to perfect this song?
It's a work in progress that will probably never be perfect. However, I did have it memorised in a few days and then the real work began haha

🤯
?
why did you put an immense digital reverb on your mix ?
To simulate the sound of a larger room…duh
@@nbnguitar then you might want to use a large room emulation, not a 12 seconds tail reverb :) this doesnt sound like a large room, ir any room at all
2 lesson ? Second part?
Alberto Machado It's available on my website to paid members: nbnguitar.com/membership
Dude, bass notes sound weak a bit. Apart from that, nice playing!
I better send my thumb to the gym - more weights less reps.
joshua rogers I wish i could play as good as you anyway :D
Thanks buddy. It's all relative man. There's plenty of players that I wish I could play as good as too :D
