my wife and I bought this game because we wanted something different and primarily a 2 person game. At first it took us ages to learn - almost 4 hours of reading and slowly going through a whole lot of youtube vids. There was certainly some reservation in the beginning but now we have played almost 20 hands and we love it. There are so many tatics and variations of play and essentially 4 ways of scoring points so you are constantly thinking of more than one thing when playing a card. It takes a lot of getting used to but the juice is worth the squeeze.
They really messed up with the colors. They call purple blue and light blue teal. Add this to all the icons and it is a confusing mess. We couldn’t even finish scoring our first game because it was so exhausting trying to read the tiny icons and almost impossible to differentiate their colors without very bright light. Amazing how this got through play testing.
I played my first game earlier today. The icons, set collections, and how scoring is added up is super confusing. Still waiting on keymaster games to post their how to play video because the rule book does explain well how to score each card. After our first game we had no idea who won because we were lost on how capers worked on winning locations. Shocked how unclear this was since we find all other Keymaster Games quick, simple and enjoyable.
I just played my first game, and while the iconography was a bit hard to decipher at first, the guide clears up any confusion, and by the 2nd game you'd be completely used to it. It's all very consistent so not a big deal IMO. Oh, and whoever has the most capers in each location wins the bonus in that location.

shatnershairpiece jesus do you have to complain about this on every video!?
No, just this one. And guess what? Even the designer wrote me and admits this is a mess and will be fixed in the next edition. Sadly, too late.
I agree the colors are an issue, but I thought it was pretty easy to get used to.
Some frame rate issues with this vid.

I can't watch this with the fps the way it is.
we've learned a lot about video production over the past few years. Sorry the fps is wrong
This really looks like a fun game! Wish there was a solo version
great view but I hate the eco sound.. :P
totally! we've improved our sound 2 years later
Would you be interested in selling me your copy of the game Caper? The manufacturer has discontinued it.
Keymaster's new implementation is Caper: Europe and is an upgraded version with additional content.
This game is just waaaay too complicated... I seriously regret buying it. Shouldn't have to be watching RUclips videos to just play the game...
