    The Wingman's plier head is not as solid as the REV...do not care for spring - loaded pliers...& they tend to be loose...I like the scissors, but they are not as effective as they should be...thanks for this good review...😊

    I recently purchased used 2 wingman and was surprised that the perfect multitool for my job has been existing for a long time. I am confident to put my raptor, wave, spydercos and skeletools to rest including a a victorinox manager to rest for the meantime maybe in my edc bag or on my collections. i heard the crunch is even better but still looking to have my personal say after using it. Working in EMS 12 hours a day is tiring and I have cyatica problems i had when using a holster for the wave. Wave and Surge are too heavy for EDC use. Skeletool+raptor was my go to work choice with a victorinox manager but after using this and testing the scissors, I can now free my pockets. The quality of the scissors I can say is somewhat comparable to victorinox caliber. Time will eventually tell if the blade retention of the scissors will last long. Wingman is now my top 5 EDC.

      @@hvacbudget8600 As i watch some mods from YT i maybe will do mods myself. Maybe remove the pliers on the other wingman. I can remove the scissors and maybe transfer to my wave or another second surge which I bought cheap since it has has a missing blade. This wingman is really very versatile. I even encountered one guy who modify it making all tools accessible from outside which is dope. Its lighter than a wave and has great scissors so it makes the perfect edc carry for most non blue collar job.

    Like watching your videos. I used a Wingman for many years as my EDC at work as an aircraft mechanic before I became a multitool connoisseur 😁 and started collecting them more or less. But I gave my Wingman no quarter and basically beat the crap out of it and it held up fine except for the pocket clip which became loose and had to be removed and rebent to keep tension. Now I carry the Surge and I've carried many different Leatherman/Gerber/Victorinox products, like almost all for one reason or another but the Wingman paid it's dues in my pocket. The only thing I hate is the price has gone up so much. Leatherman keeps price creeping $5 here, $10 there. When I bought my Surge it was $110 I think now it's like $150 🤔 and the Wingman is like $70 now. I think $40 or $50 for the Wingman is fair but even though the Surge is awesome at $150 I'm kinda squinting when I look at the price lol. Anyway sorry for the ramble, love your stuff 👍

    I know we’ve already mentioned it in previous vids, but for a budget tool, those Roxon scissors are hard to beat. They’re sharp, and have better leverage. I’d like to see Leatherman take a shot at that style of scissor.

    I have four Wingman and Sidekick multi tools each . They are perfect in quality. Carefully chosen by everyone when buying. They do not have the slightest backlash on pliers and other instruments. When folded, the half-frames also do not have the slightest backlash. Practically, they feel in the hand, like the best Wave Plus. On one of the entire Wingman set, the plain part of the blade is sharpened to a mirror state by a stone with a grain size of 2000.
    I upgraded the scissors so that they really cut, and not just pretend to be scissors.
    The tips of the pliers are often used as tweezers.
    The blade is ready for any surgical operation in the field.
    I really like these simple tools.
    I really like the videos of the author of the channel. Signed a long time ago. As they say about football : " I 'm your fan !!!! " " Thanks for the video !

    I have the Rev for some months, it has no play at all and is (although no scissors) similar to the Wingman.
    Would it be possible to exchange one of the screwdrivers with a bottle-opener? I never tried a Leatherman-mod...

    • @hvacbudget8600
      @hvacbudget8600  Год назад +1

      That's good to hear your Rev has no play to it. Yes I think you could switch out the inside tools. You might need a spacer if one tool is thicker than the other but the pivot size should at least be similar. I have never done that either but if you look up mods on the multi tool forum.org I think several have done similar things

    I like these models but I would suggest buying these used. $69.99 for the average customer today, I find high. The P2 offers better scissors in my opinion than the Wingman. I purchased my P2 slightly used for $70 last winter. To me that's much more of a bargain.

    I wonder what all this fuss about scissors is. Why the fuck does anyone want scissors in a multitool? Scissors belong in a manicure set, not in multitools! In most cases, the same job can easily be done with a knife or with pincers. In multitools, scissors only take space that can be filled with much more important tools.

    • @rtopalovich
      @rtopalovich 7 месяцев назад

      I agree. Have the Wingman and Sidekick. Using the sawblade more often than scissors. It cuts through heavier materials better than knife blade or scissors.
