Very much so. Slenderman was far more aggressive in the original combined with a soft time limit of your flashlight battery since it's very limited. You're fully blind and screwed once it's out.
@@GamerJayvee They made easy difficulty alot easier by intention for sure as well as normal, but hardcore definitely wasn't meant to be as easy. I read in the discussions that they had trouble translating the numbers for Slenderman's stats over from unity to unreal so it's not exactly 1:1 but they tried their best. This was pre-halloween patch also which was an update that slightly buffed him.
@@RattyRattington I think they've since fixed Slenderman's AI to where he's WAY more threatening than before. During this playthrough, you could just stare at him with zero consequences, and he wouldn't move forward or anything.

I had a thought myself, it might seem that only way to "defeat" Slenderman is to just forget him entirely. Pull a move like in Freddy vs Jason.
