  • To demonstrate my glass wick design I decided to create and light 111 wicks for proof of concept. The video following this upload will go into the design and explanation of how the wicks operate. I invented this wick design years ago. After incorporating it into my work I've been receiving an increasing number of requests on how it's made. I'll be going into full disclosure with it's design on 6/20/2021 for Fathers Day. I hope you enjoy this video and I apologize in advance for the "swarm of bees" sound that emits from having so many candles lit. Thanks Garry. I'm surprised people are enjoying the sound. It's the kind of sound I stress about removing from my normal videos, white noise.

As a thrower myself, I am highly interested in the glass throwing knives!! I have made some glass razor knives myself a year or so ago! It's amazing how sharp an edge that you can get with molten glass!

Hey Randy, very nice! Yea the points can get needle sharp, but I found it difficult to make a full edge with just the flame. I might need to a cold working tool like the lap wheel to grind in a razor edge.

@@MattJasa I actually used the very edge of my graphite paddle to squash the thin blade-shaped edge into my table top marving pad with some pretty immense force. I held the thin side of the paddle at an angle at or more acute than 18 degrees from the tabletop. I did this until I had a scalpel-like blade shape and edge. Finally I used a leather strop to work that edge razor sharp.

@@randybrandstatt9310 I'm a bit surprised with the strop, did you use a polishing compound? I might try that for the throwing knives instead of cold grinding them. Thanks for the info and watching Randy. I'll do my best learning to throw them so I don't disappoint any knife experts like yourself.

cool! I actually like the sound in my headphones. Sounds a bit like a light rain outside when they're all lit.

Oh very cool! I was afraid it would be annoying. I wonder how other viewers will feel.

All right man I watch the entire video! It was pretty amazing that you actually got all of them list and being 11 minutes long and probably took you about a minute to white 10 candles! Lol I got a kiln! $200 for a small table top kiln but it has 10“ x 10“ pretty big actually so stay melty

Hey try and make some scientific things like a condenser tube or a flask of some sort that might get some more people here

Yea that's good advice. I normally attempt what seems fun and the unknown, but its hard to make search tags for the unknown. Thanks for watching.
