With how much time there was on the clock, to have all 4 opportunities to score, you would need to pass once. It was a playcall that maximized their ability to have as many tries at getting in as possible.

@@Griffinex that may be true but as a coach you have to have some situational awareness. There really was no reason to run any play other than a handoff to Lynch. When the game (especially the damned Super Bowl) is on the line you dont get cute, you give it your best and let them do their thing

I'm a Pats fan, and after watching 6 championships plus the half dozen from the Red Sox, Bruins, and Celtics, I can tell you that after about 30 minutes out feels the same as losing. The season is over and your have to wait like 6 months to watch your team again. Don't be so caught up in winning a ring and just enjoy sitting back and watching your team every night and if they make the super bowl, just be happy you got the extra 3 or 4 games that a lot of other fans didn't get to sit and enjoy.
