I was going to ask about how the AC ended up working for you but I see that that's all ready been asked and answered. Bummer! We had a similar issue a few years back on a different Carnival ship. We asked for a fan and got one delivered fairly quick. But we'll be setting out on the Venezia in less than 2 weeks! So I thank you for the room tour as Carnival has yet to put pics up on their official website of these rooms. The balcony does seem a little small - atleast compared to what I've had in the past, which was nothing special. But you know once you sail with a balcony there's no going back inside :)
Just an fyi. While you are correct that items with a heating element are prohibited, if you look at Carnival’’s FAQ on this site, there’s a section under the prohibited items with some listed exceptions. The second bullet point says this: “Personal grooming devices such as hair dryers, flat irons, curling irons… power strips, multi plug box outlets/adapters, and extension cords (without surge protectors) are allowed when used with proper caution.” So bringing hair dryers is allowed, but if they feel it could be a hazard (for example, if the cord is visibly compromised), it could be taken and returned at the end of the cruise. On my last 2 Carnival cruises (both since Covid), I drank the water provided in the room and wasn’t charged for it, so I presume they counted it as my VIFP water (they were the same size as the one that you’re supposed to get). I think on my last one in January, it may have even been on my bill, but zeroed out. I’d have to find it to confirm that, though. That bottle does look different, though, so maybe that’s different on Venezia.
