Building Trailer Fuel Storage on The Cheap

  • I needed to build fuel storage before I could go to the track. I didn't want to spend a fortune, so I built my own. 3 Sheets of .060 thick 2X4 aluminum cost me $100. And I built a 2-fuel pail holder, a 2-fuel jug holder, and a 3-nitrous bottle holder out of it. If I had bought them from a retailer, it would have cost more than $600 after shipping. Hope it helps someone.

I like it. Only thing I would be concerned about is that red jug rubbing up against the thread and nut end of the eye bolt...where the two sections join together. You think those bungie cord tie downs are actually going to be useful ?

They don't touch at all, because the radius of the corners are different. I made sure of that before I did it. The bungie cord worked good. I just made a 249-mile round trip loaded down and they held everything in place.
