I subscribed to your channel last week Kev. That’s bonkers the earning for a Saturday night. Well keep going g things can only get better. All the best Kev.
If you calculate the Fuel used and Tunnel/MerseyFlow Tolls than there's not much of an incentive for anybody to even start as an Uber/Taxi driver, certainly if you want it as your only source of income. Add to that, the monotony of sittin around waiting for customers, unless of course you're an avid reader. Often thought about this some years ago when Uber first came into fashion, but glad I didn't follow it through... the competition is too big now... it's dog eat dog!
Great insight, How does your RUclips earnings stack up compared with uber driving? I'm guessing you make much better money driving compared to views/ad revenue etc? I've been following your channel since you pretty much started covering the anfied road build. Keep up the great videos 👍
This is like most taxi rides, the driver hell bent on telling customers how bad their job is an how little they earn, this is why the majority of people who 'get in' look down their nose at taxi drivers and assume they havnt got a pot to piss in. The reality is if your not awful with money, and you can be flexible with your shift patterns you can make good money far more than the majority of the average office worker you 'drop off' to their 9-5. Had my badge for 20 years so i know what im talking about
not much happens in january on the cabs .. febs not much better either,(edit) the lads that hammered the crimbo period used take a couple of weeks off because they knew it was hard for the beginning of the year.
Yeah it’s really grim. And the sad reality is, people put in the extra hours over Christmas, not only to compensate for the loss of earnings in January, but also to pay for Christmas.
Brutal night that mate. Uber as with most taxi firms have loaded drivers with all the downsides while keeping the upsides. It should be an employed job for those that want it - it’s a public service and should be treated as one.
On Uber myself mate, only do days though, usually do ok,but that trip radar is a soul destroyer,I was 0.1 mile away from Lime st station,£16 to L24,,,,nah,went to someone else ,how????
The way to make money on taxis is to decide when you want to come out and stick to the hours you want to stay out no matter how busy it is because otherwise you’ll put the work off forever
For Liverpool a vibrant city that unbelievable. I guess you go entirely down the legal route and you wouldn’t just sit outside a night club picking randomness up ? I know it’s a bit dangerous.

You’re right mate, and that is the reason I don’t work days. Not enough work to go around
That's one job I couldn't do! Being a taxi driver, fair play mate, hopefully no sick to clean kev, all the best
It’s happened once, I wasn’t a happy bunny

Register with 2 taxi firms. I put my bag in a taxi that picked me up, and he had Uber plates in his car boot, he was with 2 companies.
Too many out of town drivers in Liverpool. Wolverhampton has a lot to answer for……
Oh well, Easter is early this year!

Its a rat race , settle car prices crazy , own car insurance and repairs to much...no wonder uber were made to give drivers a minimum living wage!!!
