It's always good to support the local artists and comic makers because you never know they might be working for one of the big companies one day. Cool first Iron Fist nice. It's good that you support your daughter in her creativity and artistry. Comics are always there to inspire young minds. I didn't get any major keys this week but I got the first three issues of the New Alpha Flight series, New Spider-boy number one, Wolverine #10 (First Battle with Saber-Tooth), 2 copies of Hulk #347 (one News Stand and Normal) , Hulk #356,#395,#396,and #397. I had to get some DC comics as well; I got Green Lantern #49 and Swamp Thing #46. Keep up the good work Mike.
Enjoy the shows, flea markets, shops, and all your hunts but its the sincere passion for comics that makes your channel so great. Keep the content coming!
I don't see smaller show like that with the indie creators at them in my area. I'll have to watch for them better because it does mean so much for those creators to get the exposure. I also love seeing you encourage the creative side and imagination of the kids. It so incredibly important now a days to do that with the younger ones with the way technology has taken over filling their brains with creative stuff. Great books to get for them, I still have my Drawing the Marvel Way from way back when I was learn to draw.😅
@4:14 I see Totoro from the Studio Ghibli movies. I would highly recommend watching Studio Ghibli movies with your kids especially with your daughter. Castle In The Sky, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, From Up On Poppy Hill, When Marnie Was Here, Howl's Moving Castle. The hand drawn 2D animation is a masterpiece by Hayao Miyazaki. Two of the voice actors of Castle In The Sky is Mark Hamill and Christian Bale.
Great Video Mike! I appreciate you highlighting my Mighty Mascots Comic and also my You Tube Channel Indie Comics Relay!! Hope to see you at future events!!
I love going to these shows and seeing all the original artwork. Awesome job of encouraging your kids to love not only comics but also their love of art as a whole.
Mike you are a class act - it’s hard for independent publishers to get noticed, so those shout outs are half the battle. This channel is incredible and one of my favourites to review. Thanks
That's why I love going to Free Comic Book Day at my favorite LCS. They always have a local artist there selling artwork and it's just cool to talk with these folks. Always support local artists, musicians, etc! Great grab with that Iron Fist, Mike!
Good afternoon Michael A great show as always, I hate to say it but it was a show deserving of longer footage, but how much content can one man do in one day!. The comics looked great, it was truly something to see the the creators, great talent, speaking of talent Great work Legend! Cheers Al The Goldkeyfourcolorkidownunda
Awesome key and interesting independent books! All of the small comic book shows you go to look awesome would love to find out how the community hears about them.
iron fist is my favourite character and i recently just got a marvel premiere 15 for a good price too! i remember you mentioning wanting one in a video awhile back, so i'm glad you were able to get one (for a deal too)!
Great pickup mike big fan of iron fist not the biggest fan of the way the show was depicted but was still happy to meet the actor who played him years ago.
Awesome!! What a great little show, and just a little more than an hour away (Haverhill). But, did I know about it? Sadly, no. At least I am able to take part in it through this video. Congrats for grabbing a great looking key issue!!
This what I’m talking about! This show was less than 30 minutes from my house, and I knew noth8ng about it. I just can’t find a good source of info regarding local shows. There has to be a list somewhere that someone maintains, or SOMETHING.
Iron fist is awesome. People who know Iron Fist loved the show it was a "homage" to how he got started people who didn't like the show don't really know Iron Fist. Also u should check out the Steel Serphant one of his enemies. You're show is great and I'm always looking forward to the next one. You do a wonderful job and you're a very nice guy. LMC
Love the first iron fist mike great price too,the cyclopean stuff looks interesting and unique, hope your daughter enjoys her colouring book,it a great way to begin appreciating art imo and I hope she gets hooked ? Lol,in a nice way obviously 😂🏴
Another great video! By the way. Tomorrow at “That’s Entertainment “ in Worcester from 12 - 4 you can get your picture taken with “Marvel Comics #1” from 1939. I can’t wait to hold an iconic book like that in my hands!
I saw this at an exhibit last year, but it was very secure behind protective, anti-glare, anti-UV glass. I hope you get to hold it, but Im mentioning it so you dont get your hopes up. 😕
Hello bro, just a fan from Malaysia, got to say I love your content of getting comics that are not as valuable but very cool. I was born in 97 but grew up reading 90's comics in the early 2000s and I want to say I like image comics more than Marvel and DC because of that. And just so you know, you kicked started my collection of mostly image comics or indie comics but I am trying to get some comics of my favorite characters from Marvel and DC. And yes I only get them when it is cheap. Thank you, bro.
The Big C comic seems interesting..That’s my pick..Always seems voodoo themed comic books do well... Big C has that mysterious vibe that Brother Voodoo books have..I had a couple Brother Voodoo comics not sure where they are…Not gonna say it’s lost..not lost till Mama can’t find it.
Ah yes, the eternal debate. I think if Iron Fist could land a punch he’d win, but I don’t think he could. Shang-Chi is said to be the greatest living martial artist so I assume he’d pretty much beat everyone. Would be an amazing fight though!
Aye mike, you should check out uncanny Spider-Man #1. I saw it when I was out getting some stuff and I happen to came across it. It could be something you would be interested in reading. The cover itself is pretty cool too. Just a heads up. Thank care, bud!
Wow thats brill bud wish we had something like that . Can I ask for some advice on being a youtuber ? I want to you tube and have it as a job filming jw if i could get your veiw
And Iron Fist only got better. Larry Hama and Dick Giordano took over the art with #16, then Doug Moench started scripting with #17 and for me that was the ultimate Bronze Age Iron Fist team, even better than Claremont and Byrne on the character's eponymous series.
i think you should change the name of your channel, cause my lunches dont cost 100 dollars! so that aint no lunch money to us regular people! dont you think that title is a little misleading?
Well there is a personal history behind the name in that I grew up poor and used my saved up lunch money to buy comics. But even that being the case the vast majority of my videos I’m buying really cheap comic books from flea markets and yard sales, that’s sort of “my thing”. Every once in a while though I sprinkle in some bigger stuff, but it’s not the norm and I’ve never felt comfortable spending money on comics (and I usually add that disclaimer). So yeah $100 on a comic is silly and if you watch some of my other videos I think you’d know I was being sincere.

Journey into mysteries were killing me That first bunch was gold. Allso Noce pick ups
What a great way to showcase artists and writers in our area Mike. And you can’t go wrong with the first appearance of Iron Fist! Congrats!
I don't see smaller show like that with the indie creators at them in my area. I'll have to watch for them better because it does mean so much for those creators to get the exposure. Better late than never... they say. It's great to support local independent creators, plus that Iron Fist pick up is cherry. Great video 🐻
Love that book. It truly is a super affordable 1st appearance bronze age book. Good deal Mike

Good get. That Iron Fist issue is VERY underrated. 😊
I love a local show! I also love the “how to draw” books, as a kid they were so awesome for learning.
I love going to these shows and seeing all the original artwork. Awesome job of encouraging your kids to love not only comics but also their love of art as a whole.
great footage of the comic festival, Mike.
Mike you are a class act - it’s hard for independent publishers to get noticed, so those shout outs are half the battle. This channel is incredible and one of my favourites to review. Thanks
Wow thank you so much! Drawing some more attention to these great artists is the absolute least I can do.
That's why I love going to Free Comic Book Day at my favorite LCS. They always have a local artist there selling artwork and it's just cool to talk with these folks. Always support local artists, musicians, etc! Great grab with that Iron Fist, Mike!
Great stuff! I love finding local books!
If you’re gonna grab one book…great video Mike. Way to highlight the artists and creators. They’re the real heroes!

iron fist is my favourite character and i recently just got a marvel premiere 15 for a good price too! i remember you mentioning wanting one in a video awhile back, so i'm glad you were able to get one (for a deal too)!
Killer video!! Good catch on that sharp MARVEL Premiere 3 15.. I had that book once.. wish I still did..
Thanks for sharing, and supporting your local artists. Some real talent to be aware of
Great pickup mike big fan of iron fist not the biggest fan of the way the show was depicted but was still happy to meet the actor who played him years ago.
Always good stuff very down to earth

Jessica Jones was a good series on Netflix I really enjoyed. Daredevil was really good too.

Athol….home of Starrett tools!❤
Congrats on 1st Iron Fist Mike 👏
Now if you really wanna dive further in you need to get the Deadly Hands of Kung Fu magazines
I actually have several of them! I picked up a great one (first daughters of the dragon) at a flea market over the summer. They are pretty awesome!
You need too sell t-shirts Lunch Money Comics
Are you attending RICC? Lots of big names are heading there this weekend!
I decided to pass on RICC this year, great people for sure but it was too much money and I have a lot going on this weekend. Maybe next year!
So who wins? Iron fist or Shang chi? Wouldn’t that be something worth seeing.
Ah yes, the eternal debate. I think if Iron Fist could land a punch he’d win, but I don’t think he could. Shang-Chi is said to be the greatest living martial artist so I assume he’d pretty much beat everyone. Would be an amazing fight though!

Wow thats brill bud wish we had something like that . Can I ask for some advice on being a youtuber ? I want to you tube and have it as a job filming jw if i could get your veiw
Hit me up on IG or email and I’ll give you some advice!

Looked like a cool show. Too bad you were so late
Running joke?!?🤔
With JP, he loves that comic
