This song holds so many terribly heartbreaking memories for me to the point where I turn off the radio if it comes on or step out of the service on Sunday. But this is a beautiful rendition and I can actually listen to this without crying. Thank you

Hillsong’s “People” album is like that for me. That came out during the lowest point of my life and God used their music to keep me going. Even though those songs bring back terrible memories, I try to focus on the hope that they brought me in my time of desperation, instead of the hopelessness that I felt prior to listening.
bravocompany1010 This doesn’t bring hope for me. I’m not gonna go into detail, but I essentially wasted 6 years of my life. There’s not much positive that can come from that. It just happened and I have to live with the emotional and psychological scars that come with it. This song is just a big trigger for me.

I am in a state of trials now. I have a realationship for almost 6 years but he suddenly got tired of me. I feel so sad that he can't see me anymore in the eyes of God's lens. But I am constantly praying that he may realize it. Right now I feel like things were so abrupt it happened so fast and I felt like he has someone who makes him happy now. It's been less than a month since he told me he's tired. I gave time and space. And I kept praying each day that he may also forgive himself and go back to the person I met. Right now I just give my all to God and despite what is happening I know that God is with me and he is giving me peace. I also prayed for the woman who he is encountering now. May God hear my prayer. May this ve a breakthrough and may God walk with us again like how it ussed to. I know it seems so hopeless but I just believe that God restores. He transformed me so why can't He? Im honestly just surprised that kalimba isnt ad popular as other instruments its such a beautiful instrument. It sounds so majestic and calming. Even more than piano i would say. Liek sciriously most of my friends anf family havent even heard of a kalimba.

jacob hargiss No, a reqular piano is MUCH bigger. A finger piano (Kalimba) is much smaller, can be held in a hand, and you sort of pluck the keys.

I saw this on Snapchat and immediately bought a kalimba. True story.
Update: I can play row row your boat. I miss half tones. But the tones really sound this ethereal in real life.
Update 2: After being separated for a couple weeks, Kalimba and I are back together again. I am relearning Zelda's Lullaby and Song of Time. Looking for other good tunes. This may be my last update. I have a lifetime of casual playing ahead of me. Someday I hope to play some of these more complex full length prices. I think I will get there.
Actual final update: Karina literally has free sheet music linked under the video (e.g. other "good tunes")! I'm making a channel to post some learning progress videos. Nothing fancy at all- just a little incentive for me to learn, and maybe a better place for us to continue this conversation (less of a standing-in-the-middle-of-the-hallway-talking vibe). Edit: Several people have asked for advice about where/what Kalimba to buy. I couldn’t sleep for so much weeks now but when i tried listening to this song while closing my eyes, i finally fell asleep 🥺❤️
I just opened my Christmas gift from my Soul Sista and it was a Kalimba :). When I typed in Kalimba, Oceans popped up first which I started crying instantly. This is one of my favorite songs and with several loved ones with COVID-19, some dealing with other chronic medical conditions hearing this song on my new instrument brought waves of tears. Thank you

To be frank, I've never been a religious person. My mother had her fair share of terrible experiences due to churches, people, etc. And though I never was raised to believe in any particular god, I was raised on love. Love for everyone you meet, no matter who they are or what they look like. In some ways, I like to say the religion I grew up with was kindness.
