Just got one of these for Xmas. Super fun to play and if youre already a piano player you'll pick it up in a heartbeat. The tonal structure takes some getting used to but you come up with some interesting melodies every time you play it. Its like a music box you can play.
(sorry to ask you, you just seem to know a lot about this instrument!) Do you need long nails to play, or is it played by your thumb pad? Does it hurt your fingers after a while? thx :)
Truly an instrument for today's generation. I've seen people with some crazy mad texting skills on their smartphones. If they can do that sending a message, imagine what they can do with one of these!

There's a beautiful introspective aspect to a Kalimba, no matter the song it invites you to look inside yourself for a brief moment or just look back on things differently. Perhaps because it's one instrument with a calm, subdued power to it, or maybe because it's one in the morning - Who knows
It's not just a instrument it became my feelings i can imagine myself sitting in beautiful forest, near waterfall, near beachs, in mountains and in silent rainfall it is just so refreshing 🍀

The tones hold the relief and sadness of an anime movie ending. Ok, picture this. The credits roll, the ending scene begins to play. The MC is working on a laptop, sitting at their kitchen table with the balcony door open and a breeze gently blows in. The MC stops what they’re doing, turns to look out the balcony door and into the city, smiling softly as another character is getting on plane about to take off. The character also looks out the plane window, smiling.
This is great. I love just sitting while zoning after work watching rv and just fuck around. Also love running it through my delay and looper and going full grove.
Really enjoyed playing this to my gorgeous pup Rover, as he was sedated on Saturday to get his veterinary vasectomy due to his unconditional habit of humping any other dog he comes into contact with, as well as my leg

I’ve finally decided to get a Kalimba after watching this. I’ve learned piano, harmonica, ganzá, and tambourine, I’d love to add another instrument to my repertoire. Some day I’ll lean violin, bongos, and trumpet, but this seems like it’ll not only be easier to pick up based off the instruments I already know, but will be cheaper and fairly unique.
There are so, so many instruments I want to learn to play- I have written down 19 so far. Percussion and Kalimba will be my first two of the list. In the future, I want to make music like C418.
Just saying, they just copied and simplified the Canon in D from Pachelbel. It's a famous classical musical song. That's the reason I myself hate it. Also because it's not a great song.
This was the cheapest And the smoothest instrument that i wanted to have on my own stuff.. I wished to haved this soon ;-; its just so good to feel the music

The violin is not easy to pick up, but definitely is possible. Finger tape is absolutely required for beginners. Good luck!
