    This whole talk reached its core take away in 30:30 - 33:00 .. the link between lifestyle , inflammation , our ability to be responsive and not reactive to ourselves and the world around us. If ever there needs to be a motivation to move our lifestyle towards an anti-inflammatory dominant one this is it. That collectively we are living a reactive life that is costing us both our personal , social and global/ environmental outcomes. Thank you Dr. Rangan for the amazing insightful content you bring to the world. If it would be possible please consider time stamping the videos, it would help the content reach more people who might not have enough time to go through the whole talk.

    I was a “lunch lady” for 25 years, it is so sad what the government considers “healthy” . Children are becoming fat and unhealthy eating this food. There is so much bread, buns, breaded everything, canned fruit and vegetables, deserts, etc..
    These kids are being poisoned! Things need to change now.

      So true! I had a friend who was absolutely fanatic to the point of being overbearing in regards to diet and exercise…but she was angry 90% of the time. She had an anger living and seething inside of her which reacted to the most trivial things. You are so right! Thoughts definitely matter. Negative thinking can undermine the healthiest lifestyle.

    • @ursalaoutrageous9249
      @ursalaoutrageous9249 2 года назад +3

      Which brings to mind the fact negative thoughts can undermine your health. I was very briefly engaged to a man who was very educated in diet and supplements. Afterwards I was deeply hurt from his rejecting, unexplainable behaviors. During that same period of time this (former) friend was nagging me relentlessly about my health habits which were really not THAT bad. Since then, a few months, I have gone into a reactive rebellion and my eating habits have gone south. And I quit my supplements entirely. Just this moment I realized what I’ve done to myself in response to these negative experiences. I have to make a turn around!

I am so thankful that in 2009 a nurse practitioner sat down and took the time to go over my blood work, he said most doctors would of told me my bloodwork is good,but he said your blood sugar is higher than it should be for my age. He ordered me a monotor and strips, I started keeping an eye on my sugar,and over time worked on my diet. I do keep a close eye on my sugar levels, that sugar craving is hard,and most of the time I listen to the adult in the room.😊 THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP, I WILL WATCH THIS AGAIN AND IM LEARNING TO MAKE BETTER DECISIONS FOR MY LIFE

If it's just making it into the normal range, he is very dismissive of it. My thoughts for years have been how does this make sense? For example, 5.99 is normal but 6 you're sick? Ask a chi gong acupressure person, etc. Dr. RC, you are a valuable educator and human contributor -- please heal thyself and examine with posture issue that you have. Examine as a prevention technique. Your muscles need to be retrained here and the energy pathways will benefit, and perhaps more. Best of luck and health to you both. Abiding thanks.

I think balance is the main thing - if that is off, your health will suffer. Natural foods are always best - fresh fruit and veg, little amounts of meat [ we were never meant to eat animals anyway, the cruelty that we've laid on them is off the scale] At the end of the day, if you've no connection with Him who created you, you'll never untangle the mass of information that scientists will heap upon you.

    Have neither of these educated Doctors noticed that loads of people live in countries that basically are in perpetual summer??? Travel a bit lads, helps the knowledge and understanding of human environments.... And I'm not a fan of the idea that one thing is bad over another, unless you're talking about polyunsaturated fats, like rapeseed oil.... Particularly I don't like the idea that all fructose is bad. I had a dentist advise me to stop eating fruit the last time I went there. He's obviously never heard of scurvy, and maybe the same here with Perlmutter and Chatterjee, but I suspect they both know what scurvy is.... But the issue with fructose in the USA is pretty heavy as they add high fructose corn syrup to loads of things in high quantities, and that's not the same thing as eating a piece of fruit once or twice a day. Eating an apple, banana, citrus fruit once a day is no problem and will provide essential vitamins and minerals from a natural source also giving some fibre. Where you run into problems is when you get all your food delivered to your door and it all comes with fries and a bucket of coke which is full of high fructose corn syrup....

      Yes. I discovered Dr Rangan from a TED talk where he discovered that the sun provides so many health benefits to the human body. Who designed this to be the case? Is it by random chance that natural foods, the sun etc work so synergistically with the body? According to the theory of chance, we may wake up and the sun is no longer there but this world clearly runs on natural laws, physical laws, moral laws etc, without which our world would be chaotic, unpredictable and uninhabitable. Evolution is a lawless process that claims that after billions of years creates a systematic, synergistic world that runs on laws?! Make it make sense. People are so averse to acknowledging a creator that they come up with things that make absolutely no sense. Then create a narrative where creationists are dummies and evolutionists are the intellects. Give me a break 🧐
