Moved multiple states and traveled for missions until had to stop. Change is good, but so is stability. Finding the balance is perfection.
I am retired and in the comfort and stability but do like change at times in my life as well for five to six months but do like to come back to comfort for the other 6/7 months in the year…truly blessed. I just call it…You do You!!
Looks like you found the perfect balance that works for you!
Getting ready to head into the change and chaos. At 64 single Solo female ready to hit the road from Kansas to Washington through California and up the coast to see my oldest daughter and son n law and grandchildren then to Quartzite AZ for 5 months then wherever the wind blows me and my fur babies - 2 cats 1 dog. Sending vibes of Blessings and Love for you all on your new adventures on your journey through this life.
Wow, we're so excited for you!! Sounds like such an adventure is waiting ahead for you :) Best of luck and thank you for the kind words ❤️
I came for the Airstream, I subbed for the heart. Been binging your past videos for 3 hours now. Can’t seem to quit!
REALLY loved this video! Chaos vs. comfort & stability is something we all need to think about.
Aw thank you, we appreciate that ❤️
Thank you both for making this world a better place. May you find true happiness!
Aww this comment is so nice, thank you 🥰
these videos have a vibe. You should have 2 million subscribers. I hope you get there.
Good for you listening to your body and making the changes. Good for you for sticking together and trying something new. My husband and I have been married 47 years. We spent about 12 years getting him educated, raising our 4 kids and building up the Dental Practice. Then 10 years latter kids are now in College, HS & Jr. High and my husband joined the Navy to become an Endodontist. Nine years later Kids are now married and we have 7 grandkids. Time to decide where we want to set up a new practice and hopefully retire. San Diego here we come as Empty Nesters. Only up hill from here right! -- Kids have medical issues, Marriage problems, and we now have room mates. The more the merrier. )We now have 16 grand children) Problems with the Practice and then major health issues for my husband. Forced retirement which means plans didn't go as expected. The house isn't paid for and health issues with now PTSD issue. So we bought an Airstream and took off for 6 months. Either our kids or married grandkids come to stay in our sticks and bricks while we are off on our adventures. We now have the Comfort and Stability in our sticks and bricks plus the Change and Cachous with our Airstream adventures. We stuck it through everything together. Life still isn't what we hoped for or expected (death of grandchild, parents and siblings with illnesses and deaths, having to take care of step parents) but we are still in love, we trust and respect each other and we have fun together. I admire your resilience and your love, trust and respect for each other. Hang in there and be good to each other, allowing space when needed.
Great that you and Jay are attuned in your phases 🙃
Thanks Simon!!
I'm really hoping to join the nomad/BusLife as soon as possible and most days I have overwhelming confidence that the dream is just around the corner and once a wheels start rolling the rest will come together. But for those days that I feel like it will never happen I will never be good enough and I will never be welcome by the community that already exists y'all's videos always restore the confidence and then some. Thank you both for not only being awesome and really positive but also be honest with how y'all think and feel. Really hope to meet you two some day!
You have the confidence and belief that it will happen, so I have no doubt that it will :) Those moments of self-doubt are completely normal and everyone has them. This community is the most welcoming community we've ever had the privilege to be part of. Excited for the day that you are part of it!
@@KelsAndJay hopefully it will be sooner rather than later lol
I say you should go with what you’re comfortable with and live in the moment. For me, I’m retired now and I like the stability and comfort that retirement brings me.
Agreed! I love that you are enjoying your retirement ❤️
i was in 2 minds of doing a trailer or a van. kept thinking 25ft was the smallest i would go but now after watching you guys im team airstream all the way and what an amazing job you 2 did in such a small space. Fantastic
Chaos and change can make for some amazing and memorable stories. Also you guys make it look so fun 😉 Great perspective!
Like DDR?! Haha thanks friends 😊
We've been in stability for too long. Looking to do what you are with remote jobs.... good for you!
Thanks for sharing this journey with me. Safe Travels Always God Bless Y'all Mucho Love From Your Friend In Michigan Tam 💜💕💜
Thanks Tam!! ❤️
We bought our bus around the same time as y'all, still living it as a family of 5. We can't live without change and chaos. We need challenges to overcome. Comfort in an old form was nice, but this is the ONLY life we get. Do it all. As y'all say, "if not NOW, when?"
Your cats are very chill for being in a moving vehicle.
Pippa is a seasoned vet but we weren't sure how pixie was going to do. We were so impressed with how well they did though!
We own our home and have been here since ‘94. But I wouldn’t say we’ve ever enjoyed complete comfort and stability. I’d like to try it sometime lol. My husband is an independent contractor and income is always up and down. Last year, I started a new job in a completely different career. I don’t think it’s one or the other, it can be both.
Good point Sherry! Even if it leans more to one side, there is definitely mixes of both phases in everyone's life :)
"On the road again. Just can't wait to be on the road again."
Hope you're having fun.
Thank youu, it's been such a blast ❤️
Yass I've always been jealous of the people who are happy with a normal life and just a few interests/hobbies 😅
It seems like such a stress free life right 😂
@@KelsAndJay for real! So many fewer learning curves 😂
