Um... one of the 4 best bass players period. Across all genres, there is Jerry Entwistle (the Who), Flea (R.H.C.P.), Matt Freeman (Rancid), & the guy from Violent Femmes. Matt Freeman is the best bassist in punk, and you could rationally argue that Matt is the best across all genres.
