- The universe is a mystery that has always puzzled Mankind. How was it created and who is responsible For Creation? In Hinduism, there are many theories about how the universe was created in the earliest days. Let’s explore some of them. In Hinduism, the universe is not one single entity. There are an infinite number of universes that are constantly being created and destroyed. In other words, we live in a universe that belongs to a multiverse. Our universe will ultimately die, but the multiverse lives on. Lord Vishnu is a personification of this multiverse.

The problem with modern science, as an astrodynamicist I know for a fact, is that it only deal with what it can observe, which makes the 13.7 billion years age of the universe as an observable universe. The one unobserved cannot be mapped by the universe due to epistemic uncertainty (what you dont know, you dont know). Sanatana Vaidica Dharma takes into account multi-dimensionality, abstract concepts and unknown concepts of universes and computes the number from outside through the possibilities of meditation, and that too with good precision. After James Webb telescope discoveries, the creation of universe have traced even way back as there were fully developed galaxies at that time, which was not suppoese to exist. and many main stream scientist conisdered multiverse and multi dimension as pseudo science as these have not been able to proved practically even after so long times.

I was raised as a Christian and 15 years ago I left my religion because I felt it did not provide me with any depth of knowledge and it felt like what I was reading was watered down. I starting reading up and studying all the major world traditions and religions and I was absolutely blown away by how much detail and sense there is within Hinduism. The symbolism in the Murti's and puja's are wise and beautiful.
Just like how a flag represents a country , similarly our murtis represent how we imagine the Supreme Energy.
The sculptures are a way to visualize the spirit's appearance since they have no real physical form. This way the manifestation of the mantras become even more powerful. It's a basic concept used in witchcraft, visualization is a powerful tool indeed

Christians will often say to me, but if they have so much knowledge how come they pray to a man made sculpture? I then explain to them that it is a representation. A physical way for someone to have an object to direct their attention and devotion to and that when for instance meditating on the image of Lord Ganapati, it is the qualities and the meaning of the symbols that is being meditated on, not just an image but what the image represents. The Hindu metrics of time (Kaala Vyavahara) can be summarized as below:

Small units of time used in the Vedas
• a Trasarenu is the combination of 6 celestial atoms.
• a Truti is the time needed to integrate 3 Trasarenus, or 1/1687.5th of a second.
• a Vedha is 100 Trutis.
• a Lava is 3 Vedhas.
• a Nimesha is 3 Lavas, or a blink.
• a Kshanas is 3 Nimeshas.
• a Kashthas is 5 Kshanas, or about 8 seconds.
• a Laghu is 15 Kashthas, or about 2 minutes.
15 Laghus make one Nadika, which is also called a danda. This equals the time before water overflows in a six-pala-weight [fourteen ounce] pot of copper, in which a hole is bored with a gold probe weighing four masha and measuring four fingers long. The pot is then placed on water for calculation.
2 Dandas make one Muhurta.
6 or 7 Dandas make one Yamah, or 1/4th of a day or night.
4 Praharas or 4 Yamas are in each day or each night.

a tithi (also spelled thithi ) or lunar day is defined as the time it takes for the longitudinal angle between the moon and the sun to increase by 12°. Tithis begin at varying times of day and vary in duration from approximately 19 to approximately 26 hours.
a paksa (also paksha) or lunar fortnight consists of 15 tithis
a masa or lunar month (approximately 29.5 days) is divided into 2 pakshas: the one between new moon and full moon is called gaura (bright) or shukla paksha; the one between full moon and new moon krishna paksha
a ritu is 2 masa
an ayanam is 3 rituhs
a year is 2 Aayanas
TROPICAL METRICS
a Yaama (याम) = 1/4th of a day(light) or night [ = 7½ Ghatis (घटि) = 3¾ Muhurtas (मुहूर्त) = 3 Horas (होरा) ]
4 Yaamas 1 half of the day (either day or night)
8 Yaamas 1 day (day + night)
an Ahoratram is a tropical day (Note: A day is considered to begin and end at sunrise, not midnight.)

1 human day = 1/30 day of the pitrs
30 days of human is 1 month of human = 1 day of the pitrs
12 months of human = 1 year of the pitrs
The lifespan of the pitrs is 100 years of the pitrs (= 3,600 human years)
Reckoning of time amongst the Devas.
1 human year = 1 day of the Devas.
30 days of the Devas = 1 month of the Devas.
12 months of the Devas = 1 year of the Devas
The lifespan of the Devas is 100 years of the Devas (= 36,000 human years)
The Vishnu Purana Time measurement section of the Vishnu Purana Book I Chapter III explains the above as follows:
2 Ayanas (six month periods, see above) = 1 year or one day (day + night) of the devas
360 days of the devas = 1 year of the devas
12,000 years of the devas = 4 Yugas
Reckoning of time for Brahma.
12,000 years of the Devas = 1 day of Brahma (4320,000,000 human years). This day is divided into 10, 000 parts called charanas.
The charanas are divided as follows:
The Four Yugas
4 charanas (1,728,000 solar years) Satya Yuga
3 charanas(1,296,000 solar years) Treta Yuga
2 charanas(864,000 solar years) Dwapara Yuga
1 charanas(432,000 solar years) Kali Yuga
The cycle repeats itself so altogether there are 1000 cycles of yugas in one day of Brahma.
One cycle of the above four yugas is one mahayuga (4.32 billion solar years)
A manvantara consists of 71 mahayugas (306,720,000 solar years). Each Manvantara is ruled by a Manu.
After each manvantara follows one Sandhi Kala of the same duration as a Krita Yuga (1,728,000 = 4 Charana). (It is said that during a Sandhi Kala, the entire earth is submerged in water.)
A kalpa consists of a period of 1,728,000 solar years called Adi Sandhi, followed by 14 manvantaras and Sandhi Kalas.
A day of Brahma equals
(14 times 71 mahayugas) + (15 x 4 Charanas)
= 994 mahayugas + (60 Charanas)
= 994 mahayugas + (6 x 10) Charanas
= 994 mahayugas + 6 mahayugas
= 1000 mahayugas
as is confirmed by the Gita statement
"sahasra-yuga paryantam ahar-yad brahmano viduH",
meaning, a day of brahma is of 1000 (maha-)yugas. Thus a day of Brahma, kalpa, is of duration: 4.32 billion solar years. Two kalpas constitute a day and night of Brahma
30 days of Brahma = 1 month of Brahma (259,200,000,000 human years)
12 months of Brahma = 1 year of Brahma (3,110,400,000,000 human years)
25 years of Brahma = 1 kalpa (77,760,000,000,000 human years)
2 kalpas = 1 parardha (155,520,000,000,000 human years)
2 parardhas = 100 years of Brahma, the lifespan of Brahma (311,040,000,000,000 human years)

2,000 + 200 + 200 = 2,400 years = 1 Dwápara Yuga
1,000 + 100 + 100 = 1,200 years = 1 Kali Yuga
Alternately, the reigns of 7 Rishis, Indra and Manu = 1 Manwantara = 71x12,000+A (A is not given) = 852,000 years of the gods+A (A is not given)
14 Manwantaras = a day of Brahmá
VEDIC TIME UNITS GREATER THAN A KALPA
Ancient vedic cosmology takes into account handful of time spans which are even greater than one Kalpa or a day of Brahma. One such unit is a "Maha-Kalpa" which is composed of 36000 such days of Brahma. One Maha-Kalpa is considered as the lifetime of Brahma. There are time units which are larger than one Maha-Kalpa. The largest of them has been calculated as several quadrillions of human years. This precise and massive calculations indicate one important aspect of vedic time system, that, whenever the term "Infinity" has been mentioned in Vedas, it does not indicate something very large. Instead, it appears that the term is meant to refer its literal synonym itself.

Reading hindu scriptures needs to be done under a proper guru who is trained in Sanskrit properly, one who is not well versed with sanskrit can make wrong interpretations. U can read the book of Autobiography of a Yogi. There is a famous Ramakrishna Mission and Belur Math. Lookup for it, they are highly knowledgable and can guide u in right direction.

Kindly understand that dharma is not the same as religion. What is dharma? Dharma has the Sanskrit root dhri, which means “that which upholds” or “that without which nothing can stand” or “that which maintains the stability and harmony of the universe.” Dharma encompasses the natural, innate behavior of things, duty, law, ethics, virtue, etc. Every entity in the cosmos has its particular dharma - from the electron, which has the dharma to move in a certain manner, to the clouds, galaxies, plants, insects, and of course, man. Man’s understanding of the dharma of inanimate things is what we now call physics.
Violation of dharma creates Karma or cause and effect and reincarnation (birth/death duality cycle). So, the purpose of hindu/dharmic tradition is to minimize Karmic (cause and effect) burden through different technical tools like temples (which are also symbolic representation of well validated Vedic metaphysics Sankhya), yoga, tantra meditation techniques etc so that its followers can either fulfill their wishes easily (without violating dharma) by reducing the karmic burden or get Moksha (microcosm to macrocosm) eventually by removing karma completely.
So, Hindu/dharmic tradition was built around the well validated Vedic metaphysics Sankhya which is represented in the form of temples, deities, rituals, Sanskrit mantras, symbols, festivals, pilgrimage centers, mutts, yoga/tantra, itihasas (Ramayana/Mahabharata) and puranas with allegorical stories which represent laws of nature, shastras (dance, music, science, Upanishads, Vedas etc).

Lord Krishna Declares Himself as God without any Doubt
Only one person very clearly declares Himself as God without any doubt. He Declares himself as god in the Bhagavad Gita - Song of God. This is because, God is One. The Gods of other religions, NEVER make any statements like the below ones. It is clear by reading the non-Vedic scriptures that their God is simply created by the writers of the scripture based on their wishes and wants. One has to accept that Lord Krishna has done a much better job of declaring Himself as God than anyone else. The other so-called Gods (or rather the claimers) have done a very poor job of declaring themselves as God.

Interesting fact is Neil Bohr, Shrodinger and many quantum physicists are all sanskrit scholars and have some amount of inspiration from the knowledge hidden in sanskrit books. The science and knowledge behind ancient Sanskrit mantras is at whole other level. I didn’t believe in them until I started chanting them on my own to feel the power of them. Everything that is written in our vedas is truly magical and I thank those sages who sacrificed their life to create the knowledge for the future generations. Hinduism is not a religion but a science of life. Unfortunately over thousands of years it has been highly misunderstood and misrepresented by various religious people and priests and Hindus themselves barely understand it’s origin and true meaning.

It also says that Shiva himself manifested as Vishnu. So, from both Rudram and Atharva Veda we understand that Shiva does Sthiti (Protection) by assuming (manifesting as) the form of Vishnu.

“Uma Herself is in the form of Vishnu”
Same thing is represented in another way by Adi Shankara said in Shivananda Lahari as,
“Ardha vapusha baryatwam, Gonithwam sakkhitha…” (Shivananda Lahari Para-82)
“Lord Vishnu occupied half your body, Became transformed to be your wife (PARVATI), Became a boar to search for you, Became your lady friend to serve the nectar (MOHINI)”
Rudra Hridaya Upanishad and Shivananda Lahari says Vishnu and UMA are of same form (they are same). Sharabha Upanishad and Rudra Hridayopanishad, Rig Veda.IX.96.5 says Vishnu is Shiva’s and Uma’s son…
Mahadeva himself came as Vishnu cause Vishnu is known as shiva's shipivista form.
Let's check it in Vedas :-
Sri Rudram from yajurveda says:
"Namo bhavaya cha rudraya cha
namah sharvaya cha pashupataye cha
namo girishaya cha shipivishhtaya cha|"
(Anuvaka 5)
"Salutations to Him who is the source of all
things. And to Him who is the destroyer of all
ills. Salutations to the destroyer and to the
protector of all beings in bondage. Salutations
to Him who dwells on the mount and who is in
the form of Shipivista (Vishnu)"
From the above verses we learn that
Rudra(Shiva) is the Source of all, protector and
destroyer. Means he alone does the "Srushti",
"Sthiti" and 'Laya". Note the highlight which
says Shiva exists as Lord Vishnu. "Sipivista"is

It also says that Shiva himself manifested as
Vishnu. So, from both Rudram and Atharva
Veda we understand that Shiva does Sthiti
Protection) by assuming (manifesting as) the
form of Vishnu. Also, from above mentioned
verse of Sveta Upa. 3.03 we understood that
Shiva is non-dual. Means he alone exists none
else. Whatever else is seen, is seen as his own
form/manifestation.
So there's no difference. Shiva is jyotirlinga meaning he exist in everything including you or me or even in nothingness. Shiva is everything and there's no difference between him and Vishnu because shiva himself is Vishnu ??
Hinduism is all about Advaita meaning Non-duality
There're multiple Shivas and Vishnus as there're multiple universes each one having it's own Brahma Vishnu Shiva.
And all above this is parbrahma having no form the ultimate universe, the nature, the energy around us and within us, in every atom.
And that's how you differentiate between attaining moksha or going to heaven. By attaining moksha your body energy (tatva/ soul) gets merged from where it came and that is, parbrahma. On the other hand by going to heaven you'll have to take rebirth in one of the universes, you'll be in this endless cycle of birth and death, tied with the burden of Karma. And attaining moksha isn't easy, it takes continuous dedication towards God for many births.

It’s all very hypothetical imagination like imagining to have superpower like Superman or Flash or Iron Hulk!!
2000 years later when the people will find Marvel comics and DC comics, they will consider Stan Lee as one of the most intelligent GURUS who had all the knowledge!! Time travel, spaceships, multi universe, they will think, on earth there were people like Superman, Captain America, Shaktiman, Hulk, etc etc and all of them have different power.
But we know they don’t exist but comic characters.
That’s all what happened in accent time, the Guru or Gurus wrote down all these hypothetical stories and many of them were to please the Kings and their family, the stories were around them!! and now we see them as GODs. Especially Hindu Gods..
During accent time there was no Television hence in Kingdom. Gurus used to tell these stories in series!! It was their Friday Blockbuster.
After 2000 years, instead of The War or fight scenes of Mahabharata and Ramayana they would praise about Avengers or Justice league
