09:13 let's talk about the styling process!
15:38 about the wallpaper
18:53 now my living room feels like home Хобби
Thank you for watching! What do you think I should do styling-wise with that empty spot I pointed out? Any ideas? 😊
Everything looks great! I would put a really Tall, full leaved tree(Greenery) in that space when you move the chair♥️
Nice cabinet for extra storage on that empty space, one to match the TV console. Open shelving still adding the kitty chair.🤷🏽♀️
great ideas already shared ! I love the kitty chair by the mirror if it fits. Just my opinion but the pillows on the couch are fighting with the wallpaper behind it. Totally different vibes. I'd love to see something more baroque/dark academia feeling for pillows.
Kitty chair next to the mirror and the basket with the blanket in the empty space.
Bingo! Was gonna say that
agree !
Yep 👍🏻
I love how you demonstrate that it takes time for a space to become your own. it is great how you re-purpose your own belongings first and don't run out and buy new things which shows us that our belongings tell our story. Each stage of the process has been a part of the healing process as well! I love the phrase "get your head straight before you get your home straight". The way you share the personal story behind your journey is so moving. I am sure many of your viewers, myself included, have gone through similar life events and your story has helped so many. Thanks for sharing that messy but lovely process.
Your apartment is stunning. That wallpaper is killer! I am glad you bought it again for your new place.
Upholstered Bench for "no mans land" would be useful in so many ways and would look beautiful.
The sofa is fabulous! Your place is lovely. Las Vegas rent has tripled. We were living in a beautiful 4 bedroom 2 car garage in a gated community for 7 years. The pandemic hit... We now live a very small apartment for the same price. I was really depressed with having to let go of my beautiful, large sectional, and most of my belongings. My style went from contemporary modern to boho mid century modern. You've given me some more ideas! Thank you for posting.
Kinda wished we'd gotten a vlog of you putting up the wallpaper.
I had my doubts about the wallpaper but you nailed it. It truly anchors the space. It's like the wallpaper is the backbone of your living room now
Thank you! And I didn’t end up vlogging the process because I did that in this video when we put up the wallpaper in the last apartment: ruclips.net/video/SeYH0DuipCQ/видео.htmlsi=bzAWT5jUk6Lf8TKl
I felt like it would have basically been the same content as that video. Plus, I have to admit… vlogging makes the wallpapering process sooo much longer and I really just wanted to get it done 😅
That wallpaper has transformed your living room it’s gorgeous! ❤
I think so too! Thank you!
Love the changes! The wallpaper makes the room seem more "finished".
More thoughts, I commented in another video but i think curtains would really tie everything together.
The swooping lamp that is by your couch would look better in that empty space by the tv. It holds such a large footprint visually. And there's something about it by your couch that blocks the flow and view of your wallpaper
Would that chair you’re getting rid of possibly work in that corner where the blanket basket is? Maybe it could replace it, or would it be too big?
Wow, what an incredible transformation! Your apartment living room looks absolutely stunning as a dark boho and maximalism oasis. The blend of rich, moody tones with eclectic patterns and textures creates such a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
Thank you so much!
Steffi, how about a larger jute rug under the pretty living rug? It can cover more floor space and you can worth weird angle nicely since it won't be too noticeable (being neutral and all). It looks fabulous in there!!!! You did good. A smaller mid century chair may work in the empty space? Cheers
Super glad you were able to find a place for that wallpaper. It looks awesome.
I love ALL of your final (?) choices. Love the couch, the rug, the desk area, the wallpaper... everything! I'm interested in what you'll do with the blank space. Your ideas are so gorgeous.
The wallpaper!!!! Omg you nailed it!!! Loving all of the moodiness and pretties!!
Maybe a small bookcase styled with a few books and things. A vertical one , a few plants and photos of Helo.
In the corner of the empty space I suggest a big cat tree up to the ceiling 😍
it looks so amazing, i love it! the evolution of your apartment is matching the healing journey you've been on! give helo some snuggles from a cat lady in socal :)
Snuggles received! 😺
I LOVE the idea of a " Vision " for any space.
( but especially a small studio).
Because...lack of space should be tempered by Comfort/Functionality.
I wanted My space to look like an Artist Studio...but Gallery also..
( Your Channel gave Me some tools to achieve [ in process]...My LOVE for My own space.
Love, love the wallpaper with your couch ❤ Since you asked, I’d put another tall mirror on the right side of the tv. Then put that beautiful chair in front of it. That way you have another view of the wallpaper. It would be beautiful ❤️
Beautiful!!! 🖤 I would put the faux tree on that wall beside the TV unit.
Gorgeous! Love the wallpaper, the table, the couch and the masterpiece that is Hilo.
Right on Steffie! Iy looks fantastic! What a massive difference!
Steffi- it's beautiful brings put all the beauty of the room
MAGNIFICENT!
You might consider rug layering to compensate for the current small (but obviously suitable color-wise) rug. I think multiple rugs that work well together has the potential to suit your style well.
The new wallpaper is beautiful. One thing in the room which needs to go, in my opinion, is the wallhanging with the flowers above the armchair. It’s just too much, it doesn’t match anything, and it makes that corner look crowded. It’s not necessary to put something on every blank wall - a tip someone gave me years ago and which I have found invaluable.
I think it's also b/c the blanket basket and the Cherry blossom base, that corner can't breathe
Looks very cozy and homey.
Love it!
I am loving this!!! I too have a small living space and am extremely dissatisfied with the look and feel of it at the moment. You have captured my style to perfection!!! I’m more inspired now to just go for it!! Thank you for this update. I enjoy following you.
Thank you so much!!!
Absolutely stunning!
Hi Steffi,
Love how your apartment is coming together and love, love the wall paper!
Would you still be able to see the wall paper if you moved the mirror to the empty space on the wall? With it being there you could also use it as a check yourself before heading out the door space. Then move the chair where the mirror/blanket basket is? Making it Helo's little corner and additional seating if needed? Just a thought.😊
Happy Easter!
Stunning!
Thank you! 😊
Your apartment is absolutely gorgeous
Thank you so much!
Love love love love 🖤💛🖤
Love Love Love! Try the chair next to the mirror. xo
YES!
With the mirror change/you removing art the before looked cluttered and I didn't even realize that until you had the side by side b/a photos. I definitely like the after better
I'm still scrambled with my living room but I'm stuck in too many ideas. I think I need to just try something and see what sticks
You've inspired me. Definitely getting a bold patterned peel and stick wallpaper now.
Yay!!!
Beautiful The art work is fantastic
Hello Steffi and Hilo, your apartment is really looking beautiful., Gallery Wall, to show your beautiful art and to balance the height of the mirror on the other side💎🖤
I love it. Sorry about the break up. Peace 🕊️
Do you have a book shelf for knickknacks, plants, books ,or a barcart?😊
I love it the chair I really like it also but not the vase great job
The wallpaper looks fabulous!!!
What about a second TV console - pretending it is one long piece?.
I’ve actually considered that! I’d love for this media console to be double the size 😊
You seem to be in a good place now and it reflects in your home that's well deserved and by the way how about a round rug yes no maybe either way your shinning again!
Your place is fabulous. Love love love! Hi, Helo!
What about some sort of floating wall shelving in that voided wall space? Hung vertically or maybe even staggered? Something wood w/live edges?🤷🏾♀️
try layering an organic shape rug with your smaller rug see what happens
I love it. It looks so good with that wallpaper. I don't mind a chair in that space, but perhaps a different style of chair or go with something bold (but less bold than the wallpaper) vertically on the wall. Speaking of vertically on a wall, I ADORE the black pieces you had behind your office area in your studio. What are those panels or where are they from?
Hi Steffi, love love the wallpaper on the living room wall. Maybe get rid of your ex's desk and put Milos chair there. Get rid of the tall grass and replace it with the tall faux tree.
Love it. What I need to know if how to get used to /joy from living alone. I hate it. I’m a new single empty nester and I have been very depressed/ crying a lot. How do you get used to this?
Yes! No beige thank you
i feel an area for coats on the wall and a low table or like a shelft for shoes or something
I feel like the mirror could be where the empty space of wall is? Not sure if it would work because I don’t know how the space is in person.
Lose the fuzzy grass and the vase, in it's place, replace the chair with something that makes a statement like another piece of furniture that can used for seating and storage.😊
I remember your stating you made those pictures over your TV years ago , can you tell me how to get those i really like them and want this over my record player
I understand you don't want the armchair there but I'm concerned that Helo will be unhappy if the chair goes bye-bye. It's been Helo's spot since you were in the studio, right? Have you considered moving the armchair to where you put the blanket basket? The chair should also block most of the wires, and you could potentially put the basket where the chair used to be. (I'd put the sparkly pillow back on the chair too.) If you *don't* use the chair in this apartment, could it go to your folks' place? You might find that you want it back at a later date.
Yeah I’m probably going to end up keeping it at my parents’ house. You’re right, it’d be a shame to say goodbye to it!
Im thinking another mirror might work in that corner 🤔
A wallpaper is a nice idea but is too dark. Also the rug is too small and dark too, which make your space look smaller!!
