    I have Hashimoto's and Primary Hyperparathyroidism. My calcium levels are on the upper limit of the range. Also diagnosed earlier this year with Autism during a preliminary meeting with a Psychologist looking into my possible ADHD. I have never had my cortisol levels looked at. My neurotransmitter levels might get looked at at a future date.
    My memory and focus are terrible. Just writing this has taken me way longer than it should have. I'm not even sure what the point of me writing this is now. Speaking with the Psychologist a week tomorrow but it's only a phone call.

    Constantly high cortisol is a sign or an expression of chronicc stress and it is bad for you. Breaks down your health, leads to chronically high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke.
    Also, there is a fallacy in just giving nutrients.amd thinking tgey end up as neurotransmitters: This only works, if an actual deficiency os the reason. These systems are regulated. The incentive for the cell to make a certain compound is not, that there is more raw material. The incentive comes from reading out genes and making enzymes. That is the mechanism. You dont "communicate" to you cells:"Here Im giving you this, this means I want you to make that!" The cell "decides" out of its own mechanism and either the rawmaterial is there or not.

      Especially intense ones but don't be that fool who goes from 0 to 100, I don't know your physical condition.
      Nothing beats physical activity and balanced diet. Good sleep will eventually come it's the one thing one can't control, but start the virtuous cycle and see. You can even forget about supplements to be honest with you, unless you have a severe deficiency.

    Wow...I was experiencing very poor energy, high anxiety, and deep depression. Doctors did their cursory tests and said nothing was wrong with me. Eventually, after pushing them they found my VitD was very low. They gave me 10,000IU of D with NO k2, no L-theanine, NO magnesium. AND I got kidney stones and my levels weren't improving much. Took a Chiropractor to clue me in on what I needed to do. To this day, I tell doctors I take K2 and they look at me confused. The Idea thta you actually dig deep into a patient's chemistry blows my mind, I wish all Doctors were like you.

    Do you treat patients out of state? If so, how would blood testing and things of that nature work?

    • @doctorlegrand
      @doctorlegrand  6 месяцев назад +2

      Yes I do work with people out of state. We ship test kits to you directly and if blood work is required we find local labs to have you get the blood drawn done.
      I do these tests for my clients when working with them. If you are interested the best thing to do is book your first consultation with me so I have chance to deep dive in your medical history to determine what would be the best testing to do and what action plan to put together for you. Here is a discounted link: www.optimalmindperformance.com/offers/FvbWP5Fj?coupon_code=YTOMP400OFF to book a consultation with me if you are interested.

    Skip all the medication and supplements and find a new line of work that you enjoy, or a goal it’s worthy, or a twist on the same old thing you’re doing. Doing the shit you enjoy doing balances, your chemicals without any supplements.

      Um if this was possible , we wouldn't need medication. You don't think we tried that first? Most people with mental health diagnoses is because the brain doesn't produce the correct amount of neurotransmitters naturally.. that's why their called supplements. To supplement what the brain is lacking..

    A much simpler solution is the carnivore diet. Supplements are just trying to compensate for the malnutrition that results in a diet of processed foods, carbs and seed oils. I am 58 and since starting carnivore 11 months ago I have been cycling up to 75km in a day, going to the gym, doing 1km swimming a day, playing baseball, softball and golf. In the past pain and injury would always hamper my sporting endeavours. Now I am much more physically capable. Migraines are greatly reduced, constant itchiness, IBS and joint pain are greatly reduced. Also, I feel more joy in my life.😊

    Where do people find these effective doctors , I’ve never had one nor have I been able to convince one to do anything from RUclips . It’s like they all have a script and it’s like if I complain about this they say that and then I follow up with this they say that and it never leads anywhere other than me taking a med to temporarily stave symptoms as a permanent solution

    I have a son, when he was in Elementary school, to high school, the school always telling that he's a good kid but he had a lack of motivation, At that time I wish I had all these informations, because I don't like the facts the Doctor just look the kid, and said I going to prescribe Adderall or Ritalin even before they find out what could possibly the cause first. I hate that kind of practice, a lot of people have been putting in treatment must of the time.
