Great episode, I was on the edge of my seat while you all crossed Nolan’s, glad you all got across. Sorry to see the negative comments. I know much effort you put into your videos. I hope the two cars that have been towed home are now back up and running and ready for another ad entire with you all. Keep up the great work. 😊
Thanks Kath. It’s definitely a nervous time crossing there. One of the cars just went back on the road last week the other is still sitting without a engine 😔 I guess some people just feel better hiding behind a keyboard saying things instead of if it isn’t your thing clicking next hey 🤷🏼♂️
Top episode. We've just finished nearly the same trip and yes we had the good old Patrol out the front also. Just as well as the other independents all got stuck at sometime or another.
Thanks mate it was unreal. I’d say over a whole day would add somewhere around 2 hrs. Depends how big the crew is and if we have others helping on the camera. Definitely does take extra time though
Safety features and 4x4 don’t mix 25:42 I mean there are rookie errors then there is this palaver. Stuff in the footwells The rest just gave me high anxiety
@@kaneharnden4015ah yeah 2026 will still come around quick. Lock ya self in a date and then make it happen. Can’t beat the Gu probably one of the best 4wd going hey
Seriously with the camping to be had at Canal Ck or Sam Ck it beats me why anyone would want to camp at Elliot Falls campground. It's dry, dusty and nowhere near the river.
It’s definitely nothing special we just booked it as the time of day we got there it was getting on a bit to spend some time in the falls so decided to do it the next day and not be rushed to get up to another site
Yeah bit of a doosey for off roading hey that feature. We actually that day had someone suggest the same thing afterwards. Seb wishes he knew that earlier 🥴
Misleading clickbait titles just means the video content itself is not enough to hold the viewer's interest, your content is good and you don't need to lower your channels credibility. Drowned no flooded yes and you all made it through with running veichles.
We always try stay genuine mate and thought it was fitting especially with the Hilux that was absolutely drowned. It’s tricky I guess like how a txt msg can these days be taken one way for one person and a different for another. We may have made it through but what you haven’t seen is from this what cars didn’t make it home from this
If you actually watched it and the rest of the series you will see that the two cars that were sunk in Nolan’s actually had to be tow trucked home so there is zero click bait to this. But if you don’t want to watch that’s also fine mate and have a great day
Always amazes me that radiator blinds are not fitted. It seems like a lost skill in 4wd driving. You want to be able to push water ahead of you, not let it pour through the grill and you want to keep as much water out of the engine bay as possible. A canvas blind will give you that extra insurance, and possibly save you a few alternators and/or idle pulleys in the mix. Just seems like nobody gives this any thought anymore, just because they got through last time. they'll get through every time!
I think they can be a hindrance also as it turns the front of your car into a plow. Clean fresh water just make sure your a/c is off and slowly move through it not go bull at gate and I don’t think the car bra is needed. Older petrol engines with the dizzy is where they really came into their own stopping the water getting onto the electrics but these days everything is much better sealed. That’s my 2c worth anyway. What do you think?
I live on the cape. Generally do a starter every wet. Tarp on the front definitely is a better plan for starters and alternators. These days with everything run by computers, it’s prolly an even better idea. Particularly if you have a new ranger.
@@andrewt3952 we saw a bunch of rangers bent. I guess there is makes and models that handle water differently. The patrol has been pretty good down in the high country crossings where we do most of our wheeling but it’s not perfect

Great episode Buddy. Such a cool trip with so many fun spots. Very enjoyable to watch. We'll done to everyone!!
Thanks Mike. We all had a blast on the Tele. Everyone loved the swimming and the wheeling. Cheers for always tuning in. Appreciated mate
Great ep. Thank you for pumping out content that my family enjoy watching. Ignore the negative comments
Cheers mate appreciate that and thanks for tuning into the episodes 🍻

Thanks mate. How good is the cape. We all had a blast up there.
That’s the way to do it put the big rig in front as the recovery vehicle
Great episode again Dave & Ash
It’s unreal up there mate we wanna get back now after putting this series together
another great ep

Love it!
Cheers mate glad you enjoyed the episode
Love it guys 🫶🏼
@@twoandaus what a trip hey. Cheers for being ready to help Fabian at Nolan’s too 🍻
Looks like a great trip. How much extra time does the filming take vs doing a trip with no filming? Double the time?

Yeah some times the tech brings you unstuck hey
Bit of a whoops leaving gear down low lucky was nothing that was to hard to dry out
Great video, enjoy your content. Was supposed to do Cape this year too, but work got in the way.
Curious, how long did you wait between attempts?
Cheers mate glad you’re enjoying them mate. You going to go next year instead now?
We probably had about 5 minutes between cars
Thanks for that. Unfortunately, has to be 2026, one of my kids is doing year 12 next year.
Anyway, I've got a GU, they just get better with age.

The Isuzu emergency braking can be disabled by slipping a business card between the windscreen and the safety camera.

What time of the year would you recommend to do the cape?
Any time from May on till late October. The earlier you do it more water less crowds
Later you do it hotter it gets

Piss tickets from women everywhere
The toilet paper is just one aspect of rubbish up there and definitely a disappointment to see people not doing the right thing unfortunately
Way to slow on the recoveries
Could play them in double speed and they would be even faster 🤷🏼♂️
