    "Even if they're small, fish are fun." True statement. Fishing from bed…it doesn't get much better. That was a cozy catch & cook. That rising water would not sit well with me. Thanks for another great adventure. PS... nice rod snag at the end.

    Just checked the regs and you are allowed to cook fish on the ice provided the oil is hot as you are filleting the fish and you must keep the entire carcass for inspection and measurability. Also the fish you consume I believe count toward the daily bag limit.

    • @NASPELTZ
      @NASPELTZ  4 месяца назад

      Yes everything you said is correct. You must keep the carcass to shoe length and fish

    You may want to check the fishing regulations on whether or not you are allowed to fillet and cook the same fish on the ice.

    i know the dread of moving a shack that i set up for the day or several hours but if i was staying the night i would have moved like 50 foot away from the edge of the water not like you were hammering them faster than you could think buddy the lord has your soul but the ice just may have bit you in the ass think smarter next time buddy and trust me i believe you had well over a foot or more of ice it doesnt mean risk your life or gear at a minimum you dont have to prove how tough you are we all like you because your calm demeanor and your ability to entertain us

      I totally understand, we should have moved the tent. Honestly I wasn’t trying to act tough I was just being lazy and didn’t want to move it in the dark. Luckily we got off alright but next time I’ll take the time to re setup in a safe location. Thanks for the info
