Justin, you are a good man and we respect you. That my friend is your nest egg.
Quick side note on what was said, I worked very hard to identify good sources (something that was discussed in this video), and not knowing anything or anybody in the homestead world narrowed it down to Justin, Joel Salatin, Jill Wingerand a few others who I later learned all seem to appear at thus HOA conference. Praying for you and your family Justin, and I wish you well.

Love hearing from Justin. His energy is always so positive, and has been, even when being positive was hard due to illness. Still, the internet isn't everything. Everyone wants to be an internet star. That's not going to happen. I think all of this internet dreaming is making people miserable when they don't succeed. Not a reason not to try, but there should be several streams of income before insisting on becoming an internet homesteading content wizard. Really listening to Justin here shows how incredibly diverse homesteading business can be. And it isn't all internet based.

This was a wonderful interview. So informative and felt like he held nothing back. Sharing all the wisdom he can. Very honorable. Not selfish at all. Thank you for all the wisdom. God bless.

It's all about the lifestyle for me. Just wish I could find others in Florida that get it from a Biblical standpoint, and are willing to work 😂.

It's all great advice. I think the digital marketplace is being swamped with homesteading content. If you didn't start early on these platforms and net a lot of people, you'll likely need an original idea or some cutting edge concepts in addition to your typical homesteading content if you plan to succeed. Also, for further security, build a community locally. With patience, time, and energy, you'll see results if your business plan is smart enough.

It's good to see Justin beat the Lyme disease. That was awful. You look 20 years younger Justin. And that sweater you had. Did you put it up in the museum with Mr. Roger's sweater? 😊

This is a lot of good information however the big thing is you have to have someone like Justin to get you exposure. We have tried RUclips, instagram, LinkedIn, blogs, everything and no one has any interest. It’s hard to continue to slam my head against the wall when either people want it for free and or don’t listen. I’m not asking for a handout but the dream of selling it is about over for us.

So stop trying to sell it, and just live it. That's what the Bible teaches anyway!

I did RUclips videos for 3 years before started getting enough views or subscribers. You just do it until you get there. And learn to do it in a way that people will enjoy watching. Ask for advice! You will get there if you really want.

@@minnickfamilyfarm I remember back in the pre-internet days through internet-business days and tons of courses and the fact that, always, very few entrepreneurial businesses survive past the first 5 years. Not trying to be a bummer. Just actually letting you know, it's not a failure. It's a good go that didn't work in that way. Maybe you can try something not based in social media and find your perfect business. It seems like social media is such a black hole emotionally. Everyone wants to be a star on the internet and have a business and if we're honest, we'd have to say maybe a dozen of these hundreds of homesteaders are making an actual living on the internet. I think people need non-internet homestead business also.

@@sweaterdoll then if you live in the middle of nowhere and have no internet and no one knows where you are then how do you market a business? Just curious but social media isn’t a business it’s to help market a business. Those are completely separate things.
