Deanna was one of the very few people who instantly recognised Rick as a great ally and trustworthy even without knowing him at all. She had second guess later for a brief period of time, but 90% of the time she made the absolute right calls at the right time. A very unique and good attribute that not many TWD characters possessed.
I loved her as a character. She was the opposite of the group. The leader of a different type of survivor. Her and Rick conflict and ideal clash was perfect for a season after their hellhole. Just wish we got more of it.
There was a kid in the army I knew I remember him being skittish and could never look just straight. All the drills fucked him up and bullied him and one day a drlll asked him why he did it and it was cause he came from a place where if. You weren’t on guard you’d be killed or robbed it was all about survival and it was hot wired into him
One of the best moments in the show. The rawness of speaking of humanity in its lowest form with a very real portrayal of a man that’s lost to much in a broken world.
"People out there are always looking for an angle. Looking to play on your weakness. They measure you by what they can take from you. By how they can use you to live." Whoever wrote that specific piece of dialog, they should get an award, because that perfectly describes the world we have right now, sadly.

I always liked this woman's acting with rick, She did really good for the brief scenes she had with him... So many actors on TWD could not even hold a candle to Andrew Lincoln's acting skills, He literally carried the show for so many Seasons and the shows was never the same after he left...
@@khet_donk4209 I guess that’s personal preference but it was a lot of stuff leading up to that especially that they killed Carl and THEN Rick like it made absolutely no sense
This scene made deanna a season 2 Herschel. So naive. Rick had a little Shane in him, and I’m glad he changed that, but damn, as a guy going to school for film, this is an incredible scene now that I’ve watched the whole series. Deanna was so proud of what she built, and Rick was basically like “yeah, but there’s so much evil outside these walls” lol
I like how Rick kind of answers the questions the group asked back in season 4 the how many walkers how many people and why I think rick has my favorite answer “I’ve killed people I don’t even know how many anymore but I know why their dead it’s so my family can live”
I love ricks pacing around like a dog in a cage. You can tell everything has made him paranoid and untrusting even in the face of those who say their transparent
Saviors would’ve probably seen them all on the road and just ignored them- didn’t have anything to take but guns, and they look liked the type of people who’d use them which would make trying to take them more harm than it was worth. Small chance but Negan would’ve offered for them to join and Rick would definitely decline and it’d probably be a tense ass moment S5 Rick was unpredictable and even almost killed Aaron when he talked back even a little 💀 but Rick seeing the sheer numbers Negan had would probably resist his murder beard urges
She was listening, but only to the parts she wanted to hear. She was too focused on trying to use Rick's words against him and in her favor. So focused, she neglected to heed the warning about the kind of place the world had become. The kind of person you needed to be to make it out there. From the start, it showed that Alexandria wasn't going to make it. That they were too soft. Too focused on the pipedream of bringing a semblance of the old world back. She didn't know how ugly it truly was out there. How could she? She was never truly a part of it and that's the only proper way to really know. Rick tried to warn her, but she was so focused on recruiting him, she didn't heed the warning until it was too late.
The reason why Alexandria is still standing is all thanks to Rick's group. They would have fallen to the herd or the Wolves. Rick was also right about not letting others in, he has *seen* the horrific people like Randall's group, Governor, Claimers, Terminus, etc. looking for an angle. Walkers aren't the only threat anymore.
Just realized at 3:30 rick answers his own questions to new members of the group “how many walkers have you killed, how many people have you killed, and why” just not the walker part

That lines after He said that they should keep their gates closed had nothing to do with that apocalypse. That just describe the humanity today. Its sick and sad at the same time.
"Is that you under all that man Bush Rick? I would not have messed with that guy." - Negan
Haha Negan is a legend.
The “You should keep your gates closed” line is delivered perfectly, with a hint of sadness. Reflecting at how far humanity has fallen
