The rather mythical sounding screeches you will hear during the sunset clips are the Great Horned Owls that have made their dwellings in the pines behind our home. I LOVE listening to them at night. One evening they were particularly vocal (two were calling back and forth to each other, from different parts of the forest) so I left my camera outside for a couple of hours. I’m currently learning how to breakdown big ambitious goals into smaller more achievable goals that will lead up to the big achievements. I’ve heard this advice many times before but it hasn’t clicked till now. Can’t wait to see the magic flow out of me and on to the page easier.
I'm envious! Thouh I do live in a very secluded area with plenty of woods, I would love to have a private lake nearby. Keep up the good vibes and the good work. Stay safe, healthy and enjoy your area! Vermont is a very, lovely state!!
@@KAEmmons I live in Nowhere NH, off a dirt road, middle of nowhere. LOL! Born and raised New Englander so I know the beauty of this area. The coast of Maine and the mountains of Vermont are the most beautiful to me!, though my favorite secret spot is a small "swimming" hole up near Franconia Notch!
It really is! I’m in nature quite a bit and she captures nature incredibly well! Her videos take you there. They aren’t just shot very well, but they tell a story. She captures it all far better than anyone else on RUclips.

I’m still trying to figure out which tree(s) they’re living in. Maybe this weekend I’ll break out the binoculars and get a closer look. I also plan on heading into the valley to explore. It can be so tricky to tell where exactly owls have taken up residence! But I couldn't agree more, there is something truly magical about sitting outside at sunset/dusk and listening to them call to one another in the woods.
