Great video, now I know what to do from your video. All the other videos missed the step of taking off the electric parking brake assist part. Now I have to buy T40. I thought the caliper was seized. I was about to buy them at Autozone for $149 each. Really good video. I thank you, Javugar.
Rather than removing the epb motor ... couldn't you simply put the system into service mode as with other mazda models? Just curious if mazda removed that maintenance option on 2018/later models.
Didnt know it had a service mode. I’m more of an old school mechanic. Don’t use computers much to work on things. I just did what seemed logical to me.
It wasn’t needed. There was nothing to reset. I made sure the ignition was off. After replacement I cycled the park brake several times to make sure it worked. No problems. Some shops will tell you stuff just so they can charge more.
This was done before I knew that service mode existed. My method worked. Service mode would be easier but I haven’t needed to replace the brakes since. Since my method worked apparently I did know what I was talking about. Please do not insult somebody who uses a different method than you.

How do you put it in service mode and how does that allow you to press the piston without removing the epb motor?
Nevermind. I found a video
