As someone who sweats a lot and is pretty self conscious about it, I genuinely feel bad for Mark. The idea of being noticeably sweaty while working around customers, not to mention a national audience, is a literal nightmare to me. The worst part is that it Mark is anything like me, the anxiety of just knowing that everyone can clearly see how sweaty you are would make you sweat even more
this exactly. i have hyperhydrosis and you feel like a piece of shit for existing over something you can't control, and then add being in a hot kitchen/restaurant/stress on top of it!
Yeah the idea of being on camera alone would make me sweat like crazy and getting made fun of for it would make it so much worse… I’m just glad I have a non-customer-facing office job where it’s not quite so much of a problem as working front of house in a restaurant.
Sweating is weird. I can walk my Dog for miles or lift Weights etc & not sweat at all, but if I hoover or carry shopping, small intensive tasks etc I sweat like a Pig. Mark should've wore a Celtic shirt.
He should be keeping deodorant, cologne, and extra shirts in his car though if he's going to work in hospitality.
Yep I know this one! Stops me wanting to do some things. I’ve even had people ask me if I’m ok 😂 just to add that I don’t smell because I wear deodorant!
Why would you store cooked salmon?! WHY!!! It takes minutes to cook and can't be reheated.
It can be reheated, I put cooked salmon though pastas all the time
Cost. Also cooked salmon last longer then fresh. Have to remember these place's were not getting people in. So they cut corners
@@orinorio1 Ok, if they can’t afford to cook salmon fresh, then take it off the menu and replace it with a lower cost food item that can still be freshly prepared and that will actually taste good. When you cook something like fish, chicken or really any protein twice, it’s going to be dry and lacking in flavor, especially something with more subtle flavors like salmon.
@@L33tSkE3t many restaurants in America will use frozen food. Even in the UK sometimes the meat is brought in frozen. It's cheaper. Yes food should be cooked from fresh no doubt about that. Have to remember these restaurants on KN are in debt already and so have to cut corners to save what money they can
@@orinorio1 They are normally in financial trouble because they are cooking frozen food and it’s causing them to lose customers. That’s something Chef Ramsey brings up in almost episode. That it needn’t be expensive to cook fresh food. Especially if they are in an area where it is readily available.

This episode made me uncomfortable, there was something weird going on with some of the people mostly with Mark, Arillio, and Dean. Drugs? Sex? Who knows, but the vibe was off. As always thanks for the update you rock 👍💙🏴

I always believed that Dean more of a gay uncle figure to Sammy and Arthur, and Mark had been romantically linked to Dean in the past, so Dean gave him something to do during the day.
Thanks for the explanation about the shirt Mark wore! I never understood why he said “ I only wore this just for you”, but now it makes sense.

This is not a vegetarian/vegan restaurant. Most of the food items were meat…and the new menu has meat as well.

One thing I appreciate about this episode is the whole Dean screaming in the middle of nowhere is a callback to the UK version, where Gordon did a similar thing for the manager of La Laterna

The head chef needed to be fired and replaced. Mark was completely clueless and the owner had no backbone. No wonder the place was a complete and utter mess...

Seeing Gordon pay the chef Aurelio the money the owher Dean owed him out of his own pocket showed how much he does actually care.. Aurelio tried to turn down Gordon's money too but Gordon insisted.. idk why but I found that moment so nice on Gordon's part

Yeah I do. Look forward to see a video about Amy Kitchen. The one time Gordon walkes away. The aftermath was shown but after that there was no follow up. For me that episode is the one episode that was fully real all the way through.

I'm guessing it's because they do a vital work that they can't possibly emulate (as far as they know at least). They don't want to make them upset lest they end up with no chef and no idea of what to do.
Most chefs are highly narcissistic and love bomb easy targets

This episode was one of the few times I thought Gordon was being a dick when he was making fun of Mark
It’s because Mark was obviously not okay with it in the least. Not just like “oh you’re a poor sport” but he was genuinely bothered by the things Gordon was saying.
The fact that Mark sweats like that and refuses to where deodorant, he had no business being in a food service business. Gordon was trying to get that point across but Mark didn’t seem to care.

@@RealityTVRescues I'm talking about the runner up. Ariel win season 15 didn't make it a year with Gordon and doesn't even cook. Kristen came in 2nd and an executive suox chef at International Smoke in Las Vegas. She even went and worked for Gordon Ramsay for a bit. She's got a great story and would make a good video
I can;t remember if I mentioned her in the video or not. I do recall discussing some of the runner-ups in that video.
I might start another channel in the future similar to this one but just dedicated to cooking shows like hells kitchen, masterchef, etc. I would do people's 'stories', ie recap their episodes and then include follow ups on them

People complaining about vegans (im not vegan myself) have never eaten a vegetable they liked in their life
I'm not vegan but have tried alot of stuff. For me, I've found some things I really liked.
Vegans are insufferable even to omnivores that enjoy vegetables.
Its always a good idea to remove vegetarian and vegan options from a menu.
