  • I think i've finally found the solution to watering the narrow side-strip on my lawn. Creating my own single-sided soaker hose with some poly pipe... Fingers crossed this is the last time I need to re-do this irrigation!!

Well done, works a treat. What us men do to keep our lawns looking good. We don't really have that problem in Scotland. We are experiencing some very heavy rain at the moment, floods everywhere.

Looks good. Good time to put some soil wetter down as well.

Hey mate this video just popped up,
Haven’t seen your channel for a while
My solution would be ( you might have already considered this) would be getting enough hunter MP rotator strip sprayers ,
You can get them to spray in a rectangular shape so with good flow and pressure you can achieve 1.8mtr by 9.9 meters .
If you were to install that 19mm pipe right beside your concrete curb 300mm below the soil , you could then add the amount of hunter pop up MP rotator strip spray nozzles to achieve a nice even coverage.
I used a few of them down the side of my house in mackay , and the little bits where they did over shoot a little bit , it just hits the wall of the house and drizzles down to the lawn
Eg if your sprays are a little to powering, they will just hit your colour bond fence and drain back onto your grass.
They also have a tool to adjust the flow rate up or down for fine adjustments.
HUNTER colour code all their nozzles. They have three types of strip spray nozzles
Left hand corner which is ivory
Right hand corner strip spray which is copper and the side strip spray that sprays from the centre is Brown.
I think you could cover all that area in 4 sprays nozzles or less , shouldn’t be too pricy .
Your contraption does to work a treat also👌

Hey mate, welcome back! Thanks for the info and taking the time to try and help, I really appreciate it 🤙. I saw the Hunter side strip sprinklers and they were a consideration for me, but ultimately I didn't want to trench that whole way down the outside of the fence. I have a bunch of underground power/phone for the houses behind me running under there somewhere and didn't want the hassle of messing with all that haha. Hopefully this solution lasts, but if it doesn't, I could potentially rig up something above ground with the MPs. Fingers crossed for now though. 🤙 Cheers mate.
