All us oldtimers loved his dad, Alan, and the show. I'm glad Peter took over.
My dad is probably about Peter's age, but every time I talk about Candid Camera he goes and looks up one of the episodes from Alan Funt.
"And don't come back in the middle of the night." She's like an Old West Sheriff ordering the bad guys to get out of town and not come back.
Thank you, Peter. My grandmother passed away earlier this morning. (oddly enough the same day my other grandmother died 21 years ago), and I needed a laugh. My grandmother loved Candid Camera and would have loved this.
Sorry to read that you lost your grandmother. Remember the good times with her and may she rest in peace. Sadly, I never had a grandmother. I wish I did. Best wishes to you.

Sorry to hear I am now 58 I miss my Grandfathers both Grandmothers passed away when I was very young. I was young and dumb did not appreciate them when they were around my loss forever.

I am fond of candid movies. What I like and appreciate about candid camera is that is always healthy, clean and discreet humor. I'm in a fulltime Christian ministry ,taking care of destitude people and children. It is in many areas quit a sad kind of work, with lots of challanges and uncertainty. That us why good humor help me in a way to keep sane. Thank you for Candid Camera, always in such a fashion that the "victim" can laugh with tfe rest. together with the family. I am totally sold out for humor, but not in a sense to mock or belittle the disabled like example blind people or make fun out of peoples faith. You always keep it clean, with moral high ground and even jokes like this, you do discreet. May the heritage of your father passes on through you and to the next generations to come. The elderly lady @2:19 reminds me of my late grandmother, who by the looks of it, was about the same age at this time!! That generation has since passed away🙏
It shows you can have a really good gag at very low cost. All they had to do was have a few big signs printed. And it was EXTREMELY effective. Of course, Peter Funt's deadpan style put it over the top, as always.

Peter, I've gotta quickly introduce myself to you! I came across your channel about two months ago and have been hooked ever since. I grew up with "Just for Laughs Gags" up here in Canada but was too young to remember Candid Camera; I believe it went off the air when I was 8 or 9 years old (not counting the brief, 2014 re-boot). My dad says he was very fond of your father Allen's show in the 1960s. The production quality, practical joke design and concepts, and delivery of each and every episode is impeccable and hilariously engaging. You and your father are two talented individuals who have inspired and touched so many lives through laughter, levity, and humour. Thank you for all you do!
I consider myself a prankster and have played several, successfully-orchestrated practical jokes on my co-workers, family, and friends. So, I 120% appreciate everything that goes into creating and pulling off these harmless gags!! This particular episode cracks me up because, all pranks aside, I started a folk music festival on private property in 2015 and a few neighbours didn't take to that one so well-it's become a real-life circus for 363 days of the year to hold a small, laid-back festival for the other two days. 😂😂😂 Please keep the laughs coming, Mr. Funt!!

These reactions were the absolute best. Way more defensive and committed than I was expecting. These folks were not joking around. I would be much worse, very critical, and more verbally threatening. But I feel like so few are left in the world today, that would stand up for themselves the way these people did. They could have been my parents, based on their reactions. I just don't imagine people today reacting the same.
I would LOVE to see this remade, maybe the same, maybe a drag show bar opening!

Those were the beautiful days. Now they bring the "nightclub" and drag queen strip-style shows to the children in schools, porn in school libraries, and the police are seen protecting that activity.
Amazing how times have changed for the worse and really in just a short period of time.
