The Global Initiative for Asthma - GINA 2023 Updates

The updated GINA 2023 report has been released recently with new information and guidance on management of asthma. Some of the key changes include a clarification of terminology for asthma medications, e.g anti-inflammatory reliver (AIR), maintenance treatment, controller therapy, reliver medication, and MART. Maintenance and reliever therapy (MART) refers to a treatment regimen wherein ICS-formoterol inhaler is recommended as maintenance as well as reliver therapy.
