    Before I switched over to my wood arrows I ordered a dozen carbon trades with the feather fletch. Only paid $40 and they were great. Still have them and use them with my recurve. Great vid.👍😎🏹🇨🇦

    Ha! I just received the same arrows in the mail a few days ago. Shot them in my latest videos. The nocks break easily and the feather glue is hit or miss. The middle of the feathers tend to lose adhesion and arc up in the middle when the glue fails. Nice review!

    I just got these same arrows today via Fedex from eBay. I also bought some heavier carbon bare shafts with a cool green wrap to build later to use with my compounds. Anyway, these arrows were cheap enough so I bought 24 of them. 500 spine and the same exact arrows as yours other than mine are the green and white wrapped and fletched. I found that if I put a little bow string wax on the threads of the points they stay in place pretty good. Since I use them to hunt at fairly close distances and not some sort of competitive archer I find these Chinese arrows are fine for what I use them for. I cut my teeth on cheap Wal-Mart carbon shaft arrows and still have a bunch of them.

    How well would plastic fletching work with the Black Hunter arrow shelf? I've read that only real feathers should be used, but I've seen people in an archery club use plastic fletching with an arrow shelf.

    • @allthingsarcheryandshootin9380
      @allthingsarcheryandshootin9380  2 года назад

      You will have to use a product called Trad vanes if you shoot off the shelf if not you would need an arrow rest like the Bear weather rest. to shoot standard vane arrows. Both work very well or you could just have your arrows fletched with feathers.

    Strange... Looks like the price went up. I used the same arrows 2 years ago. I think I paid about $24 for a dozen of them. I did not have any problems with nocks or feathers and as far as durability goes, they are solid. The bad in my opinion? They are not possible to tune, they are certainly not consistent and not 500 spine, but weaker than that. They are not carbon, but mixed carbon. They are good beginner arrows, but I just do not see how they could be worth more than $2.50 a piece. I personally put the arrows together from parts available on aliexpress, I used to shoot 4.2 mm arrow, but now I shoot 5.2 mm. I have to tune them to my bow of course. I can make a decent arrow for about $5 a piece.

      what is the difference between carbon and mixed carbon? are they safe?

    • @jaroslawlaskowski2629
      @jaroslawlaskowski2629 3 года назад +1

      @@psary644 Mixed carbon is much more heavy than pure carbon. It is a worse material of the two. Are those arrows safe? Nocks are average quality, if they brake, the integrity of the arrows will be compromised. Shaft itself is solid; I shot them from 51 lb bow, they did not brake. The most important question is: are they worth the money?
      I would not pay more than $2-2.5 per arrow. They are not consistent, you cannot adjust them to your bow, they are what they are. There are pretty good pure carbon shafts (accmos - $28-35 per dozen) and other components on aliexpress. I can make pretty good arrow for $5-6 dollars per piece, which are spined properly. You do not have to spend a fortune to make good arrows, but I would avoid these.
