when i was a teen an elder said some things like this: only consume when that is brining you to a specific goal and objective and to move to another "level". do not just go out to dinner-build the relationship with that person, firm or persons. expense and travel for a vacation is to "re-focus", relax and come back to more focused work and family-not to just "party". ect. hustle would 'get it.
I recently came across ebook Mental Cashflow, and I was genuinely surprised by how much it resonated with me. Despite the controversy surrounding it, the book offers some unique perspectives that made me think differently about financial independence and mindset. It’s definitely not for everyone, and I can see why some might disagree with its content, but for those who are curious or enjoy exploring unconventional ideas, it might be worth checking out. Of course, it’s important to approach it with an open mind and take from it what works best for you.
As a minimalist I totally agree with this. I kept saying this for a long time now. Stuff won't make you happier except for maybe 5 minutes then you'll be just as miserable as before.
Exactly what I've been thinking and doing. I buy NOTHING. This makes me wealthy and drives the rich crazy. Spend only on good quality food, property and local craftsmanship.
Eat fatty meat and eggs that were raised on pasture, preferably locally, and wild-caught fish. Drink spring water or at least filtered city water. No industrial food-like products. No HFCS. No modern seed oils. Your addictions will weaken if you do this if not become outright repulsive.

It feels like a fog in my brain went away. Like I am using a superbrain. It’s getting better every day.
