I like to say he got his acting chops from his mom, Valerie Bertinelli, music talent from his dad, uncle and paternal family. Definitely recommend checking out his song that was a tribute to his dad. The video was amazing

Listen to Take A Bow. He has what I like to call a tribute solo to his Dad in there. It's amazing.
He plays and records all the instruments and sings. Tours with a band that is super tight.

My son (whose first concert was Van Halen's last show in 2015), and I, were crushed when Eddie died. Wolfgang is carrying on an almost impossible legacy with grace, reverence, and talent! Mostly, it's incredible to see him walk in his father's footsteps, without becoming his father. Wolfgang Van Halen is his own man, and if he continues on the path he's begun, he's bound to become a legend in his own right. Long live the Van Halen name.

Love his humility and humour. He obviously inherited a massive musical talent. Maybe his Uncle influenced his drumming, too? ( Alex is a legend amongst those that smack the skins). I know his dad encouraged him to play drums. His voice is amazing. I hear a lot of Dave Grohl, and Chris Cornell in there, too. I hear a bunch of other influences, too - He's not derivative, but has tinges of his favourite bands in there. My favourite would be the little pick slide right at the end - a nod to his father.

@@joecavazos1786 You got that right. I just listened to "You're to Blame' and it kicks ass the old fashioned way. The odd time signature gives it a dramatic feel and his guitar work is impressive. The solo had a sound all its own and interplayed with the backing bass march reminiscent of the best old school rockers. Thanks for the tip. It's on my playlist now.

YESSS Wolf was in EVH for years with his Dad and Uncle! Touring since he was very young! You can find concerts with them jamming together!!! Wolf said He doesn't want to be a carbon copy of his Dad he wants to be himself! Now a few songs were written for years and His Dad got to hear them and loved them He wrote "Distance" before his Dad passed away! He is up for a Grammy in January for that song! I remember reading an interview with Wolf and He said his Dad was a bad teacher with guitar.... He would go so fast he would be like POP I cannot do that just show me this or that LOLLL but his Dad played piano he learned from his father and taught Wolf Now Eddie could play drums too like his brother so I guess they both taught him .... I dunno! Actually Eddie's Mom and Dad And Bro were immigrants could not speak English and his Father loved piano and they came to USA with that piano and their Dad put them in competitions playing piano and they won most .... EVH's Story is very very interesting! Anyway Wolf is so talented and I know His Dad is looking down so proud of Wolf

Way back when his dad's band became popular, I liked their songs, and Eddie was an amazing guitarist, but I wasn't really a "fan" and didn't purchase their music. We were blessed with so many other bands whose music I preferred at the time. However, when I first heard Mammoth WVH, I preordered his album before it was ever released and in my own opinion, Wolfie has more talent than should be humanly possible. Every single song in his album is great, but "Feel" is my favorite.
