I love Chaos Angel, which is really strong, going second, especially if you're forced into simplified plays because of Shifter, Droll, Anti-Spell, and most importantly damn Dimensional Barrier.
@ggGio a possibility could be siding Lars for going 1st for the match ups it is more relevant I would surely consider Lars backing up Caesar if possible, but going 2nd, with some exeptions, it becomes less impactful, I think
Great video! I'm a cross-sheep enjoyer over muckraker though. In the first combo, I would add swordknight instead of diabellze and summon cross-sheep instead of muckraker. When aerial eater comes back by it's own effect, it can trigger sheep to bring back the swordknight that was pitched, swordknight into the usual. You don't have the muckraker protection or diabellze in grave, but you have the hand rip and swordknight in grave, which is already live along with the coatl since chimera is on the field. If you have any extender, which is not hard for this deck, can link that away and the sheep for a little knight (or rabbit if you run it, I love that little guy). But granted, diabellze can win you the game sometimes. Opponent keeps setting spells and you get a pop from her, magnum, and 1-2 with guardian. Why I love this deck, there are so many ways to play it, and you said it best, it comes down to personal preference sometimes, as well as the other cards in your hand. Looking forward to more chimera content! You have a new subscriber!
Good video bro, enjoying the content. I am a vivid chimera player since release of deck so glad people are putting some much needed attention. Couple points from me (food for thought): - i like your combos, however I think I play deck vastly different - I 99% time priortize making the Chimera king first - reason is that discard one is insane and the best way this deck plays is when it dodges handtraps and handrips on top. Also this way of playing makes handtraps a lot better - being able to further simplify the game state and leave no decision for opponent. I easily play 12-16 handtraps in 42-46 build whilst not sacrificing much (namely -dark fusion - 3rd mirror as its worst chimera monster imo) - not playing handtraps vs yubel is so hard - if they combo on you, you need 2 or 3 breakers and still the 1 ash in their hand will kill you. - heiress+simul is so free - cant lose game 3 against yubel/tempai unless you have shit hand or they open nuts. - heavily suggest playing evenly if you on droplet/talents/book - pairs of 2/3 of those wipe any opponent. -spoly for me feels bad - cant spoly top decks at top tables realistically speaking - extra deck - i am currently on same + chaos/-lars. Still I fee rabbit is good if you go 45+ deck. Might even try 50 like the WCS yubel build - 30/31 engine, 19/20 handtraps All aside, lets go Chimera best deck
I agree with many of your points here! Since this vid, I've moved back to chaos angel over lars and dropped spoly for evenly/heiress/simul again. My issue with HTs in this deck is you more or less hand loop yourself and rely on drawing a 1 card combo to be able to play through a much smaller board, when in reality most of the time you can push through with engine after using 1-2 breakers. This way you don't risk them playing through the HTs anyways. Yubel is really good at doing that thanks to phantom so it just makes more sense to me to play breakers vs that deck specifically. It makes a lot of sense to go for king first if you have the HTs to back it up though so I will say thats def the right game plan if your build isn't breakers
When I was literally about to make this deck I found the Disney queen of the white forest card and now wanted to make a white forest chimera fiendsmith deck
Thanks for the help King. Any chance you could post videos of you playing the deck on EDO, Omega, or DB? I'd like to see how the deck is played into boards

@@filipmiladinovic8169 I think it’s a bit tough currently due to detonator just being able to pop kings sarc when you activate it but if you go first or have a way to negate that effect then it’s probably pretty solid!
great video! jsut wanted to ask if it its worth to consider cutting tract and lurrie + 1 fiednsmith just since it feels like you already have so many ways to get into it and it gets your deck closer to 40?
@@asweetduck5779 the second fiendsmith comes up nearly every game even without the tract! You need something to summon off of the requiem the second time you use it. I did think about cutting the tract and Lurrie though. I think personally I’m keeping them just so I don’t dead draw either fiendsmith but I can definitely also see the merit to cutting them
@@Ayryvyl my initial reaction is that the azamina cards are not as good as the fiendsmith for chimera specifically, but I have to do more testing with it before YCS Niagara
@@ggGioI feel like Fiendsmith definitely has the higher ceiling and is perhaps more solid overall. I just like how short and compact the Azamina engine is. Also lots of small synergies. Btw which Facebook group were you talking about?
Can you repeat the chimera fusion from the graveyard as often as you want as long as you control the chimera the flying mythicalBeast? Because it only says for the second effect that you can only use it once
The second effect of chimera fusion is to add or special. You only get to pick 1 of those 2 to apply and its a hard once per turn so you can only add back a singular time
In the first combo you summon Necroquip with Engraver and the Equip but the Card says it needs a monster equipped with a monster card AND a Fiend Monster... pretty sure you cant summon her like that
Engraver is the monster equipped with a Monster Card. Reqiuem, even though it is being treated as an equip spell, is originally a Monster Card, therefore it qualifies for the 1 Fiend Monster Card. If it said “+ 1 Fiend monster”, this wouldn’t be allowed, but since it’s checking specifically for “1 Fiend Monster Card” you may use a Fiend monster regardless of where it is on your field or what it is being treated as. Normally monsters being treated as spells/traps cannot be used as material when fusion summoning by another card (such as Polymerization), unless specified, however since this is a contact fusion, it bypasses that restriction. This is similar to using the ABC monsters equipped by their own effect to contact summon ABC Buster Dragon.
There are so many different lines with this deck lol, I've been playing it completely different. Moon seems much more valuable now that nib will be an average choice. What do you think about rabbit? Main deck slot feels expensive sometimes but rabbit + diabellze feels so opressive
Yeah honestly the way I play it now vs how I played it like 3 weeks ago is so incredibly different lol. That's one of the things I really love about this deck. I think rabbit is a neat card, especially with the illusion synergy but I don't think there is anything in my extra deck that I would cut for it. Maybe the S:P if I didn't have one? Its hard to justify because this deck is already so strong going first that it seems not worth it to focus more on that
@@ggGio I've tried Rabbit and the Illusion synergy is neat, but my biggest gripe with it is you having to play the trap. It's neither a breaker, nor a fusion mat, nor a fusion spell. When I play Chimera I want every card to be playable, that's why I cut it. Also Moon is the better Link 2 anyway :D
I feel like if you already decide too play superpoly in the side the yubel loving defender fusion should be in your side aswell no? I mean yubel is t1 and you can whipe their full board with it or am i missing something ?
Definitely a valid point! Its only usable generally after they use phantom but it can def be considered for a spot. I had it in the side of the yubel variant that I briefly showed
A guardian chimera that can't be targeted is pretty good at dealing with a majority of boards! The more fusion spells you draw the easier it is to crack through stuff. I'd say though that a lot of the time, you semi break boards over the course of a couple turns. This deck is really sticky and can force games out over a couple turns in which case you out grind most people if you play optimally
I mentioned it briefly in the video but I'm currently on the fence about the imperms. Eclipse is one of the options I'm considering in place of those and definitely have its own merits
The only way to reliably make it is with sequence. Usually if you are able to make it off the sequence that means you're giving up the engraver follow up since you won't have enough light fiends with lacrima now banned. I usually also find myself wanting to make berfomet or aerial eater instead anyways. I can definitely see the merit to playing it but for me personally I never find myself missing it
@@DeadlyB7 sometimes you just need it as an extender when playing through boards. I’d argue it’s more cuttable now with the fiendsmith stuff but I still find myself sending it pretty often off berfomet if I have to start my turn with a guardian chimera
