I know I have been absent from RUclips for a while. Some people I've met in passing have asked me when are you going to upload something. You know sometimes I upload videos and don't come back to them for a few days lol. Wondering how people will take it. Will they like this? Did I do good enough? Man, the warm responses and love shown in the comments have been great feedback for me. It's like a push to keep going no matter how things seem. Thank you all!
Actually just found ur channel, the ones I’ve seen r great,, and as far as creating videos, just create when you feel a passion too,, as for what folk think or say, I think we live in a world of whiners that love to complain to much,, it’s best to do things as u feel so,, take care,,
This is an incredible nod to one of the greats. Your tone takes all the best elements of Joe's playing and adds in your twist. Can not stop listening. This is the definition of #tonesgoals
I like the control of your instrument you maintain a beautiful but aggressive tone. You configure the harmonic code very creatively as to not sound contrived. Great work my brother. Bobby Harris
Your approach to sound and your influences show through it an amazing way...honestly I as a fan would like to see you and Kamasi get on the same show one night
That probably is the smoothest and the closest reminiscence of Joe Henderson's sound that I have ever heard. I want to ask about your recording setup. It sounds really clean and you can hear the fullness of the saxophone! Anyways, keep making music because man, you have a great soul with your sound!
man your sound amazes me! I'd be interested for you to possibly do a video on your musical influences or records that changed how you approach the music. god bless !
Your sound is divine. Never ever stop making videos. You've been one of my biggest inspirations as a developing saxophonist, and every new video you post makes me want to hit the shed harder and harder.
HEY bro U are sounding Great man !!!!!! Stantawn can u tell me what playback u are using I would love to get that playback thanks for your help blessings fan mike
Stantawn! Good to hear new content from you, especially straight up playing, which I would be pleased to hear more, by the way! Question: I'm looking for a vintage Link, more precisely a Florida or a Double Ring. As I know you have one, do you have tips for anyone looking for one? Ebay seems to blow up the prices considerably...
Theo Wanne's website has a good write up of the history of Otto Links and the differences with every generation of them and how they have changed. yeah unfortunately it gets tricky on eBay. And they an be VERY expensive now. I was lucky enough to find an original unaltered 7* but this was a long time ago. There are several companies nowadays who have gotten really close with copies.
Stantawn Kendrick i got lucky (but I put luck on my side as well). I checked out all the Facebook gear groups for months. Finally found an original 6* (with the 'denim' pattern on the table and all), and I sent it to no other than Adam Niewood (worked on Chris Potter's pieces). I'm HA-PPY. Thanks for the tips! Turns out I was using that same The Wanne chart a lot along the process
hey man what microphone are you using here. I am looking for something to start off recording at home. great sound and playing as always very much inspiring.

Love to see you do a vid on reed prep and maintenance.
