      Phlex Swim BACKSTROKE KICK, back is my best stroke, and the 100 back was my first sectional cut, but my form is atrocious, mostly because I simply CANNOT do flutter kick on my back and have like a one kick per stroke thing

      Dabasaurous Rex do a backstroke catch up drill. It slows down your stroke and recovery to help supplement that with a strong core and solid kicking base.

      Ths for this video. In my case I should be able to do it in 5 ft depth max!
      Would you do a video showing the similarities and dissimilarities between the crawl and the backstroke?

    There are two things I would like to see. I know you guys asked for swimming skills but suit reviews would be really cool. I don't know of a lot of people who posts videos specifically on this and more importantly I don't know a lot of educated swimmers that review suits. I know tech suits can be expensive but I'm sure some companies would sponsor it especially after seeing your fan base and how many people watch your videos. But additionally doing practice suit reviews, a suit that maybe lasts the longest or more durable and comfortable or whatever. Even competition suits that aren't necessarily tech suits nor practice suits.
    I would also like to see a video on mental awareness. I know the swimming community is becoming more aware about swimming and their mental problems. So maybe like how to stay focused, how to not burn out, keeping the sport fun for not only the swimmers but coaches as well. I think everybody takes the sport so seriously that they forget to take breaks or they think they can't take breaks because they will fall behind but I think physically it is important to take small breaks every now and then to get out of the water and do some yoga, more dry land, still staying active but just not in the water. Also, for coaches to continue to keep it fun by having dual meets with 25s and or 50s and fun relays. Keep things fresh and enjoyable for everybody. That's my aspect on it but I'd love to see an opinion on what you guys think.
    But as for stroke clinic I would love to see more breaststroke work for timing and increasing speed.
    Lots of love to you guys. I've seen every video and I have mad respect for what you all put out.

    Thankyou for the tutorial.My Fly breakout is NOT GOOD.I recover underwater sometimes and the whole stroke gets messed up. Think I’m not sure where the surface is as I fly kick deep, need to elevate gradually till I feel the surface and Need to do more.practice. I shall enjoy this squat jump streamline drill.👍🏻👍🏻

    Could you do a video on the best shoulder mobility exercises/stretches for swimmers? I’m finding I just can’t release my lats, triceps and chest properly and it’s making it hard to get in a proper streamline position.

    Cool video, definitely gonna try it.
    In my breaststroke kick I don't catch that much water so my kick is not very efficient. Do you know drills/stretches/exercises to help getting a better feel of the water/catching more water in the breaststroke kick. So you could definitely help me by making a video about it.

      Frederik L get in an endless pool. This is the best way to improve the feel in the water as well as reduce drag. Look at swimology in Arizona and what Kyle Shores is doing. He has a RUclips channel too.

    • @jeremyphung9171
      @jeremyphung9171 6 лет назад

      Frederik L once you understand that your kick starts at your hips and work down to your ankles then the better and faster your kick will improve for butterfly kick or freestyle and backstroke too.

    @luke, I get an average rhythm in fly; but I leap only upward direction, than using that momentum i generate to move forward. Is there any drill I can do to correct this?. I am trying to correct it by doing fly without taking breath, so I create muscle memory to keep head and chest forward paced.

    • @PhlexSwim
      @PhlexSwim  6 лет назад

      Hi Shankar! We have a video with a few good drills to fix this problem. Here it is. Check it out and let us know what you think. Thanks! ruclips.net/video/nvpGLrMia_Q/видео.html

    • @jeremyphung9171
      @jeremyphung9171 6 лет назад

      Shankar Srinivasan I see this a lot with swimmers and I think the motion of the kick really drives that up and down motion. So what I do with them is work on dragging the chin on the pull to breath and not lifting the body out. If you watch the best butterflyers out there they don't lift anything more than just their chin to breath. Another way I have my swimmers work on this is doing butterfly with the flutter, or freestyle, kick.

    Hello Phlex swim, I've been swimming all my life, since 2-3 years old, but never wanted to compete, now I'm 43 disabled with MS and now have quit smoking for almost 9 months now and got my swimming back, I can swim a 50 meter fly-back in around 32 seconds, my routine consist of 3 reps of 50m free ( hypoxia training), 50m dolphin kick and breast kick with board, 50m breast, 50m side, 50m other side, 50m back, 50m dolphin, witch I know is not that bad, but took about 1 1/2 years to get back what I lost, then now after all that work I'm tired and not motivated, really what is keeping me going is I truly love the water‼️ any help on staying motivated would help, oh and if you want to check out my swimming I have some vids on my RUclips, peace out and God bless only in Christ name✌🏼️🙏

      Shaner! What an incredible story and an amazing effort from your end to overcome to so much! You truly inspire us.
      Our best advice to stay motivated and continue progressing in your swimming would be to find a local masters swim team. As much as you don't want to go to the pool some days, it really helps to have a team, coach, and overall community cheering you on day by day as they do the same for you. Joining a good masters team means broadening your training, finding new people to swim with, and having more motivation around you which makes your swimming less individual and more about being there for your teammates as well.
      Let us know what you think!
      Phlex Team
