Same. I'm mostly into metal and hard rock, but I know a great song and songwriter when I hear one. And she was an AMAZING musician and songwriter. This song as an example....it's so simple, but it has so much emotion and feeling in it. RIP Christine, congrats on a life well lived.
I love this song. If you don't cry when you hear it there is something wrong with you. She had the voice of an angle, no she is one. RIP Christine McVie. You were, are, and will always be amazing.
Rest in Peace, lovely Christine. I'm so fortunate to have seen her and the four others of Fleetwood Mac live in 2015 at the O2 in London when I was 21. That day means even more to me after today.
There’s something incredibly powerful and moving in her performance here. That aged, experienced, and fragile voice conveys this song in a way it didn’t when the song was released. Christine was our maternal, eternal songbird. She is missed.
One of the most beautiful love songs ever written. I cannot watch it without tearing up on some level. I'm glad I can watch it and still feel that every time I hear it.
How do you feel, when you listen to it now, knowing she has left us? Tears roll down my cheeks with every time I listen to this and any other song of hers.
Another true songbird has flown through the gates of heaven. 🎶 🐦 And the songbirds are singing like they know the score. We love you Christine like never before. ❤
Yes - InDeeD….Like when she sings background vocals of her fellow musicians or previous band mates, such as Bob Welch or even Lindsay, U can’t miss her voice-U hear it & just KNOW that it’s Christine!! 😱👍❤️🙏🌞❗️ ruclips.net/video/eM_9nfDMzE8/видео.html ruclips.net/video/Kcm3dbuV8Z4/видео.html
I feel so fortunate to have grown up at a time when I could listen, love, and appreciate great, classy, and humble musicians like her. Thank you so much for the music, Christine.
..."every night Mick and I would stand in the wings while Christine would play this, and....grown men would weep."When we were putting the band back together, Chris said 'as long as I don't have to do "Songbird"', and we asked why, and she said 'because I cry'."Oh, you cry?"....
yes we all cry but the song is so beautiful it makes me want to wish that Christine gets all the love she ever needed but i never got all the love that i wanted/needed so this song is special and Christine sings it so well that no one else could have made it so meaningful
We ALL cry. I remember seeing FM on their last tour, and as she sang Songbird, her voice cracked from just growing to be her age....and yet the crowd....we all stood and you could actually FEEL everybody wishing her on. It was the most beautiful moment I've ever witnessed in a crowd, aside from Lindsey's incredible solo on I'm So Afraid.
As a 70's kid I grew up listening to Fleetwood Mac from my mum and dad,and now my young children also love listening to Fleetwood Mac. Songbird has to be one of my favourite songs. rest in peace Christine.
Thank you, beautiful Music Queen, for sharing your voice and your talent with us for over 50 years. Rest peacefully as the stage lights go down, Songbird. ✨🕊️✨

*Songbird* _Song by Christine McVee_ For you, there'll be no more crying For you, the sun will be shining And I feel that when I'm with you It's alright, I know it's right To you, I'll give the world To you, I'll never be cold 'Cause I feel that when I'm with you It's alright, I know it's right And the songbirds are singing, Like they know the score And I love you, I love you, I love you Like never before And I wish you all the love in the world But most of all, I wish it from myself And the songbirds keep singing Like they know the score And I love you, I love you, I love you Like never before, like never before, Like never before Songwriters: Christine Mcvie
Just simply magnificent heartwarming, breathtaking, tremendous graceful, humble and, so very, very beautiful, indeed. I am highly thankful and humbled to have opportunity to hear it... every single time. We very grateful to Christine, for sharing this master piece with us. Such a pure melodic, nostalgic, vulnerable and awesome.
R.I.P. Christine , the songbird has left the stage will never be forgotten . First heard her voice with Chicken Shack many years ago and loved it ever since.
I loved this song so much in middle school I sang it solo in a high school chorus concert it is the most beautiful love song ever written. R.I.P. my beautiful, talented, classy idol.😢😢
I am gutted by this sad news, the passing of our beloved songbird. "Perfect" in my eyes since I was a young lad, 12 years her junior. I think it was at the Kerrisdale Arena in Vancouver, BC when this teenage drummerboy was smitten. See you on the other side Christine Perfect...💜💜💜
I think this may have been the last time she performed Songbird publicly. She didn’t perform it on the 2019 FM tour or the 2017 LB/CM tour. I could be wrong. Regardless, this is my favorite song of hers and she will be missed.
I first heard this beautiful song sung exquisitely by Eva Cassidy. I'm very sure Christine must have loved her version. And there they are now, both angels, both songbirds. The music never ends.
I was ten when Rumors was released and even at that young age I remember feeling incredibly moved by this song, like their was a truth to it that made it seem deeply spiritual. Her voice and lyrics are so comforting while the melody is so sad. It expresses life and love so well. Masterful, genius, buetiful.
Wow..Christine McVie, what a classy, fabulously talented lady. I am continually blown away at her style and abilities...consummate song writer, singer, pianist, how she carried herself. A class act for the ages. Thankfully we were able to experience her and Fleetwood Mac for decades, and we have the music to keep listening to...and the memories. Thank you Christine, we will always love you!
@@theThinkerator Gosh me too. At times I would RUclips and watch various interviews with her because she was so real and so funny. She just had this calm about her. The glitz just came with it but for her it never stopped being about the music. Her Blues beginnings were so good. Her voice could calm the sea and she at first didn't think she could sing. What a gift she was to us all.
Her performance of this song on The Dance is so beautiful and amazing. It took many hours to record the original, 3 minutes to record her superior performance on The Dance. Age doesn't make real musicians worse. It makes them better. RIP Christine
I am one of those grown men not afraid to say I’m crying now listening to one of my favourite songs. RIP you fantastic lady ❤❤
I have been too. She was a genuine jewel. Everything about her absolutely glowed.
You're not the only one.

I couldn't have said it better... even through the tears.
Christine will be loved forever.

RIP Songbird! 😢💕🎼🙏💐

When it comes to Fleetwood Mac the most beautiful scores are sung from the song bird known as Christine McVie
*Songbird*
_Song by Christine McVee_
For you, there'll be no more crying
For you, the sun will be shining
And I feel that when I'm with you
It's alright, I know it's right
To you, I'll give the world
To you, I'll never be cold
'Cause I feel that when I'm with you
It's alright, I know it's right
And the songbirds are singing,
Like they know the score
And I love you, I love you, I love you
Like never before
And I wish you all the love in the world
But most of all, I wish it from myself
And the songbirds keep singing
Like they know the score
And I love you, I love you, I love you
Like never before, like never before,
Like never before

Easily the most recent recording by her I've heard. Just her, putting her heart into it, with no background distractions i.e. noisy audience.
I first heard this beautiful song sung exquisitely by Eva Cassidy. I'm very sure Christine must have loved her version. And there they are now, both angels, both songbirds. The music never ends.
That song did very well for she was a great musician I'm sorry about her passing on
Just rediscovered this beautiful song following Christine's death and still brings a tear to my eye

In a way it’s nice to hear her voice slip a little. It reminds me of how great art can last after its creator is gone.
The slipping of her voice is beautiful. It tells part of the story of one increíble songwriter and singer. She was always perfect.
