I was so fortunately to see this on Broadway during their last run. At that show they talked about starting their world tour in Memphis that fall. I then planned my first trip to Memphis that opening weekend at the Orpheum Theater! During the song "Memphis Lives In Me" the entire audience was weeping! I will never forget that experience. Afterwards, there was a cast Q&A and they said that their experience in Memphis totally changed their hearts and souls and they will perform differently from now on! I wish this musical would tour more often!
I always like to see something new when I visit New York. This is the first show that I ever saw twice on Broadway. It was THAT good. Both times with the original cast. Fortunately the same creative team has a new musical about Princess Diana opening in April 2020. I will be there!
This is the best musical I've ever seen. I've been several musicals, last one, "Chicago" which is great but "Memphis" is even better, great stars!!!!

This musical is so underrated! It has to be my absolute favorite show! It's unfortunate I didn't discover it until it was off tour and Broadway...
