It's funny, because these brands like Acronym and Nike are literally doing exactly what you described the drop-shippers as. They make cheap-to-produce clothing, market it as ground-breaking tech, slap their logo on it, and mark it up. The cost to make AND SHIP INTERNATIONALLY a pair of Nike sneakers is $28.50, and they retail anywhere from $50 to $120, resold in the hundreds to thousands of dollars secondhand for some sneakers. But everyone's just chill with it because "Nike". Similarly, the average down coat costs $40 per-unit. They are literally pre-made, shipped to brand factories like Patagonia, where they are then branded and sold. That $1k Acronym jacket everyone wants? Probably costs about $100-$150 max, and that's being generous. People need to be more open minded. No matter where you go, you're overpaying for cheap products. These businesses are often less egregious than the big corporations everyone simps for.
I mean, the "holy grail" of techwear, the ACG Alpine, says "All Condition Gear" on it which is just as much cringe to someone that's not a part of the techwear bubble.
