As far as I remember you can't. You should already have FBX of all the objects you imported into the Lens Studio but I don't think that you can export the scene outside
Great Video. I'm new to using Substance Painter for Snap Lenses. Can I ask, when you import the model into Substance Painter, use Lens studio template, bake textures etc, how do you view the material? My model views as black (like there is no lighting). I can see base colour etc, just not material overall.
Hi I am glad you find the video helpful. I understand that you are importing the 3D Body FBX file into Substance Painter and you can see only black. I can try to give some advice and I hope that this will help. Question: does this happen only with the 3D Body Mesh from Snapchat or do you get the same results with other meshes? If this happens only with the Snapchat body mesh, then try opening the mesh in another software and exporting an OBJ. I hope that you know how and let me know if you need help. Try adding a white fill layer with base color, and drag this layer to the very top of the stack. This should turn the model into white. Did you change the lighting in the scene? make sure the lights are on. Let me know if anything worked and I will try to help
@@2mnts thank you so much for taking the time to reply. Yes, I'm trying to use the 3D Body FBX file. I've just tried importing as an obj but had the same result. I also tied another mesh and it's behaving in the same way. It only seems to be happening when I use the Lens studio template. As far as I know I haven't changed any lighting. How would I make sure the lights are on?...sorry I've only been using substance for Spark AR and still relatively new to it 😬
@@tishtoshtish when I said lights I actually meant the environment (which lights up the mesh). here is where to find it: Window Menu > Views > Display Settings. In the Display Settings window there is a section named Environment Settings. The slider named Environment Exposure (EV) will change the scene light up and down. If this slider is all the way down (-10) then everything is black. If the Slider is all the way up then everything is white. Please try this and let me know
@@2mnts I've just checked the EV and the slider is halfway (0). There is an environment loaded. One thing I noticed, is that at the bottom of Display settings, under Channel Display, the Display solo view without lighting (unlit) is checked by default, and it's not letting me uncheck it. Could this be the issue?
I also have the 'Display solo...' option checked and it's disabled and I can't change. So you said that if you open a different mesh then everything works well, and the issue is only with the 3D Body Mesh from Snapchat? If you want to share you file I can open it here and see if the issue persists. I am using the latest version of Adobe Substance 3D Painter just fyi.
Woww !! Great tutorial !!
Thank you. I am glad you found this helpful
Amazing!

Fantastic video! So awesome! Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you for your feedback. I am glad you found the video helpful. This definitely encourages me to make more!
Can i export my final result in lens as fbx to other softwares?
