Thank you! it is always weird to hear my own voice recording, and I have this foreign accent - so i never considered becoming a voice-over artist or anything (:
There are different possible reasons for this to happen. one of the most common reasons is that the garment is not aligned well to the built in skeleton/mesh. can you share a screenshot?
thanks for the tutorial! is there a specific way that you need to import the lens studio avatar into MD? Does it matter whether your file is set to mm, cm, inches, etc. for the MD file? and does the unit of measurement matter when you're importing the avatar mesh? The file is coming into lens studio really large and it appears it might have something to do with unit of measurement. Thanks for any help!
@@2mnts the only way I was able to properly bring in the garment was to export it in mm but scaled down to 10% - this is due to during the import of the LS avatar being imported at cm scale (or auto) since when importing in mm makes the avatar tiny compared to the garment. Probably makes more sense creating the garment using the LS avatar instead of using the MD avatar then replacing it. Perhaps you could add that to your notes as others here are having the same issue
@@myoungkang6184 yes you can create a custom opacity map for hiding and revealing body parts. please check video #4 of this series about the Body Eraser effect
Love your tutorials! I'm having issues importing fbx files from MD. When i import a basic t-shirt made on the Lensstudio avatar after import and adding the mesh is distorted, large and placed way above the camera for tracking. I can't find the problem. Anybody suggestions where it might go wrong?
It sounds like the scale or position are not matching between the 2 software tools. can you try and import the garment into Blender and then export a new FBX from Blender? let me know if this works. when importing the fbx and just placing in the scene (without attaching to the body yet) is the mesh in the correct size and in the right place?
@@2mnts Thanks for the reply. The workaround in blender worked! But i also know what i did wrong in Marvelous Designer. I created my MD project in CM(DAZ), i had to select that once more when exporting :)
You have a great voice, and you do amazing work!

Hi, thanks for the tutorial. Why isn't my 3d suit smooth after being applied in the lens studio?

I think that I always use "automatic" . sorry but I can't remember right now. Can you try the different options and let me know which one works best?

@@2mnts Another question, is there a way to show the arms if the garment does not have sleeves? The body mesh only allows the body, hands and head
