Regarding avoiding crowds in MK: On a Keys to the Kingdom tour I took in Jan 2010, our guide told me his best tip to avoid crowds was to actually go up to Fantasyland first, then to Adventureland/Frontierland followed by Tomorrowland. His point is that even if you go left first, everyone will converge in Fantasyland around lunchtime, so you may still be in big crowds for part of the day, and by doing Fantasyland first, you can help avoid crowds by staying one land ahead of the crowd that went right first. (You can also tell MK was built right-handed because the path to Tomorrowland from Main Street is wider than the ones for Frontierland/Adventureland)
Chafing cream and callous covers. Straws for soda or icee drinkers. Tylenol and Dramamine. All fits in a ziplock bag, but saves so much stress if someone needs it.
Getting a reservation before a park opens is my favorite thing (i can't remember if you mentioned it in this video)! Once, we had a reservation at Be Our Guest, and we finished before the park opened, and we were able to pretty much walk right on to the Mine Train, and ride it 4 times in a row without too much of a wait! It was the best part of the day, even though it was all before 9am!
Only ask lifeguard that is walking and not watching a pool. Do not bug active lifeguard unless it is an emergency as they need to focus on the water and the people in it. Someone can become distressed in a second, so if not actively bleeding then do not bug the lifeguard watching the water.
Agreed! We just posted a video breaking down Disneyland vs Disney World-- would love for you (or any Disney Parks fan) to watch it when you have the time. Check our channel please and thank you!
AJ Being retired I spend one afternoon a week catching up on all the changes so, when we are ready to go back again I am totally up to speed. Thanks for all the tips. Especially for the first timers.
You'll have a much better time! Should be back to "normal" Disney by then with the full experience, no masks, and hopefully they hire back all the friendly, "Disney trained" CMs and the cheerless Gestapo that are running around screaming at everyone right now are gone.
Another tip for remembering where u park. The disney mobile app actually has a park reminder feature where u enter in the details of the aisle and row u parked and then u take a picture of ur car with whats surrounding it so u all u have to do is load up the app and u already have ur parking info there making it easier to find ur car! Going in September for my honeymoon!
The Target Disney gift card trick works. If you are willing to take the time, you can buy enough to pay for a trip. However, you need to combine all of the gift cards onto one or two. We did this and were able to take a lot of money off of our trip to Disney Aulani Resort and Spa in Hawaii. It does take a really long time and can be reallllllly annoying.
We did this to pay for a cruise. If you're willing to buy $500. online, just a few at a time you end up saving hundreds. If a disney vacation and saving money are both important then it's worth doing. My tip is to print out the e gift card and write what you spent it on. Keep them until they are used and your trip is over. If something changes like it did for us you'll be glad you have them.
It’s amazing how strategizing with secret tips can make the trip so much better! It’s weird to think (pre covid) some people in the parks didn’t even know fast pass was a thing. We are all in the right place for success
A toast to all the planners! 🎉 Everyone deserves to be appreciated for a job well done! Happy planning!! May your magic military plans bring success, and happiness prevail! MK Operation Plan, Day 2 Code Name: Max Mouse Thrill squad, take the right flank to Space Mountain soon after dawn. Little one, you don't meet the height requirement and your special skills are best served elsewhere. Instead, take the commander of this mission (an elder, but once inside Disney becomes the biggest kid of all) and dance your way down an empty brown river through Liberty Square. Keep a look out! At the start of your mission, conduct reconnaissance of the Jungle. We need confirmation that the rope has not dropped there. We'll enjoy the laughter of the small world posthaste while Thrill Squad returns to Earth. They may be able to secure a Carpet to a splendid world in the sky, which although enjoyable it is not our primary objective, before convening with us again. Our rendezvous point is marked by a small wooden cage containing a tarantula that periodically twitches. Go, go, go people! There's magic to enjoy! Let's do this!!
“Remember where you parked” see in 2005 my dad told me to remember where we parked and it was Grumpy 116 i don’t remember what park but I remember that😂
If you use the Waze app for navigation, when you park, and get out, and start walking towards the park, Waze will remember where you parked and note it. That doesn't tell you what section you are in, but, if you can get to the right section, you can "follow" it to your car, and you'll know exactly how far down the row you are.
I can only afford to go every year and a 1/2 or so which gives me withdrawal symptoms every time I head back home. Thank you AJ and staff for the little fix we all need to prevent the Disney bubble-feeling from popping before the next arrival. You're providing an essential public service. I officially nominate you for a national humanitarian award. Second anyone?
I love watching these videos! ❤ I've been to Disneyworld once years ago and would love to go back soon! Thank you for your videos, and all the helpful info on your website and Instagram!
Thanks, AJ! I found your channel after my parents confirmed we would be visiting in May! I would love to have your insight on the NuiMos and their similarity to the Tsum Tsums from several years ago. Keep up the amazing work you and your team are doing!
I booked my first trip for 2018 after religiously watching DFB videos, and it truly is the most seamless trip I have and probably ever will take. You're going to have a fabulous time!
I’ll stick to the wrist bands, even though it’s not free anymore.Great details in this video.Cooling towels are a life saver on a hot day.I always bring them when we go.We usually stay at Wilderness lodge, it’s very close to magic kingdom where we spend over half our trip.Taking the boat into the magic kingdom in the morning is the best.
The tip about the hidden exits at your Disney Resort is a true blue tip. Stayed at the Allstar movie resort once but was on the edge closer to neighbor allstar resort. We always walked over to the other resorts bus area to get to the parks since it was closer. I think I went to the lobby of our resort once the entire trip.
Another GREAT tip for finding your car in those EPICly huge parking lots and structures is to load up whatever App you use for GPS Navigation and flag your parked car with a parking location tag before getting out of the car and going into the parks. Apps that I know that use this feature are Google Maps and WAZE, but others may or may not use this feature yet.
Ahh! I’m going to Disney next month for my 16th birthday!! I’m so excited and watching vids like this just make me so eager and happy!! Ty for a great vid!!!💜💜💜💜
Can you book park passes for your trip before you even book your hotel, etc. (and change them if need be)? Or do you need your reservations set in stone first? We’re not going until Spring 2022, but this made me nervous lol 😬
Another way to save (at least for me) i buy a Disney Gift Card at Kroger grocery store to earn fuel points, which i then turn around to use on the gas to get there and back
As for shoes, I work in a cavern and there are puddles EVERYWHERE so I rely on Vessi sneakers, they’re pretty comfortable and super waterproof, also Birkenstocks are my lifesavers
I have a weird allergy, at almost every table service restaurant a chef came out to our table to talk about the options (the only one that didn’t was when I knew I just wanted a salad). Sanaa even brought out my own personal bread service when our table wanted it and I couldn’t have all the bread varieties and dips.
Sorry to hear that allergies always sound so difficult to deal with, respect, anyways I'm sure you can ask the cast members, they'll be happy to help, stay safe and sending lots of love and support 🙏🏻💞♥️
This also applies to your airfare to and from your Disney vacation. After you book your flight, check your flight options to see if you are quoted a lower airfare to get to your final destination, wether it be Orlando, FL or Los Angeles, CA. You may be quoted a lower airfare, even on the same flight you are originally booked on. I once got $300 back in flight credit just because I checked constantly on the same flight I was originally booked on.
Not been to WDW since 2003, hoping we get to go next year. Love all the tips as so much has changed! Would be interesting to know if non-US residents can also add credit or even debit cards to the app/magicband. Hoping the parks still accept cash as we'll be travelling from the UK
Thank you so much for the tips!! ❤️ i’m surprising my best friend with a trip to Disney World in July, and your videos have helped me so much. It’s our first time going and I’m super excited! 🥳
I'm so glad I've been watching your channel since 2019 precovid and this year when I went all your tips, tricks, secrets and hacks were SO helpful in making my disney trip better.
I think you may want to define Walking Distance. If you havent been there, for example you might actually believe its an easy stroll to Epcot from Beach club then 12 hours on your feet around the park, then a quick stroll back to BC in 85 degree heat at 10 at night ..........even kids are wiped out ... pretty much the same all over Disney, not really walking distance anywhere.
Do you have to have tickets purchased already to book park passes? We are booked to go next January but haven't purchased tickets yet. Should we be booking park passes already?
So for rise of the resistance, does everyone in your party need to have their own my disney experience app or just everyone needs to be linked on one app?
My family usually does one nice meal a day, around 3:30-5ish. Late lunch, early dinner. We otherwise get little snacks and definitely carry food wit us.
Great, great segment. I’m going for the first time in two years and feel like a newbie! I have a question about check in for your dining reservation-once you check in, then what? Do they buzz your phone when your table is ready? Text you? This sounds like a very useful tip!
If you stay at one of the hotels along International Way you can walk to Disney Springs and you wont have to look for a parking spot. We like to stay at the Holiday Inn, we get there in the afternoon, too late to go to the parks, so we spend the afternoon and evening at Disney Springs, which is almost a park in itself. I wish that they would reopen the Void! That was awesome.we
I always get a new pair of shoes about 6 months prior to my trip, get a bottle of the water resistant spray and treat them at least twice while breaking them in and going to the park.
Not sure when you price checked last, but Swan & Dolphin, and a lot of the other Good Neighbors are almost just as expensive as the Disney - and after parking fees and resort taxes some are more than staying on property. Also- a lot of the Good Neighbors aren't included in extra hours, so you have to pay close attention when booking if u want that add on.
So happy July 4th week times are now available! However, are there no longer magic hours? According to the site, The hours are the same from the 4th-10th at each park
So much to do & experience outside of the Disney bubble. Universal Studios is great. We loved The Kennedy Space Center. WDW is not worth the $ and it’s an augmented experience in 2021. Disney Springs is worth a visit because there are some excellent restaurants
AJ just said "behoove" in her best voice. My day is complete.

You should do a “what’s in my Disney bag” video! (Like what type of bag you use, what you have in it, items you found useful, etc.)
Great idea.👍
Disney World is still so very exciting and making the families happy!
We’ve been asking for a ‘what’s in my park bag’ video for ages and still nada... one day maybe 🙏
