The first aid centers are the BEST! I simply went to ask for a bandaid for a blister on my foot but they took me in the back and sprayed my foot with some amazing numbing spray and gave me a stack of the worlds BEST bandaids and bandaged me up. The care was top notch!

EXTRA TIPS ON THE SHIPPING HOME: if you are at a Disney Resort save every thing and ship out of the gift shop there at the end of your trip (make sure to save receipts!). We did that and only paid about $30 for 10 days worth of merch vs paying for an item to be sent each purchase.
Also, in our experience, this is for Disney items WITH disney tags ONLY. For example if you buy things from the shop in Japan, that doesn’t count. Things like popcorn buckets and sippers don’t count either.

As a former CM, do YOU have any information that you would like to share? As a food service worker, treating the employees of any business I visit with patience and respect is the number 1 golden rule for me. So that one goes without saying... But are there any tips you would have as an insider? I've never been, and my fiance' has been twice, but long before COVID. We're planning our honeymoon for the first week of May 2024, so only have a handful of things he wants to show me and things I definitely know I want to experience. He's easy-going and is up for anything! 🥳

I’ve never rented a locker on any of my Disney trips. I usually bring a park bag that’s light and easy to carry around and my husband and kids bring their own. If I buy something, I just pick up what I want to buy at the end of the day, before I leave.Using a cooling towel in the summer and early fall worked the best. It made it 15 degrees cooler at least.

Just came back from Disney on the 15th. Had an amazing time. Did the Mickey’s Halloween Party and it was fun. If you are staying at a deluxe resort, ABSOLUTELY make use of the extended hours. Before you can board any of the open rides they scan your magic band to see if you are staying at a deluxe resort. If you are not they don’t let you ride. We waited no more than 5 minutes for any ride during any extended hour visit.

I really enjoy these videos - thanks for all the tips! Cooling towels are great. We also use UV blocking mesh sleeves to help prevent sunburn; these can be dampened for a cooling effect as well. These also double as arm warmers (when dry) so you can avoid having to tote around a jacket, and they roll up small to stuff in the bottom of your bag when you get too warm. You can also pour ice water on sun hats (though not straw ones) and UV blocking shirts to cool down (we did this in Grand Canyon one July and it was like heaven). I had no idea they made specific UV blocking umbrellas - will have to check those out. :)

In Hollywood Studios this year, I found the Star Wars Launch Bay to be a good cooling down spot. It is dark and cool.. I can sit on a bench and chill while my older grandkids get their photos taken.. I am a Florida residdnt with an Annual Pass and photo package. I give them my band and lett themg go. The photos are hysterical when there are no adults telling them what to do. They cool down, have fun, and release any pent-up tension they have. A nice break for everyone. For.my.liittle ones, I take them to Disney Junior's Dance Party.. Again, nice and cool, and it is so much fun to watch the kis dance joyously. Memories of those tantrums in the park are long gone. Thank you, Disney, for making this possible. At EPCOT, there is a wonderful splash pad by Test Track that cools kids down. Bring extra clothes. It is worth it Our family loves Disney'. We have been coming to WDW every year since it opened in 1971. I also love this vlog and read it often. After all this time, I thought I knew everything. But I learn something new with each viewing. Thank you. P.S .I recently learned it was easier to make 2 reservations for 2 at the ScilFi Dine-in theater.

Side note pertaining to Starbucks Mobile Ordering - Starbucks has discontinued Raspberry syrup - for those of you who don't know by now. Try Strawberry Puree instead. It's a heavier syrup, but it's made from actual strawberries and WAY tastier in my opinion. It's also an ingredient to a core beverage, so won't be discontinued unless they change the build for the Strawberries and Creme frap or get rid of the drink altogether.

Plus standing in line, people dodging, strollers, heat, humidity among other things. Walking 30-45 minutes a day a month or 2 beforehand will help you in the parks every day. Hydrate Hydrate Hydrate

I was wondering about this the other day. I'm on my feet 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, and walk to and from work every day (service industry, with a 10-minute walk to/from), and go to the gym 2-3 times a week. My guy delivers auto parts 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, also walking to/from work (5-minute walk to/from.) This advice I keep hearing about getting ready for the physicality of WDW - does it really pertain more to desk jockeys, do you think? Or do you think we should up our activity a couple months before we go?

Yes, you can stay in the park for a dining reservation while an after-hours party is happening. My family did this during the Christmas party. They were issued wristbands during their dinner to show that they were allowed to be in the park during this time, but the wristbands were a different color from the after-hours wristbands so that they couldn't sneak into attractions or shops during the party. And yes, as Brian B said, you will be escorted from the park after eating (but you can probably sneak in some photos as you're walked out).

Do they still deliver your purchases to your resort if you are staying at a Disney resort? I remember years ago we would buy something and they just sent it to our room so we wouldn't have to carry it with us.

Or wait to go to the shops at the end of the day… I do want that Simba popcorn bucket at AK… 😅 I cannot digest popcorn but I want the souvenir! Ha ha anyways…. But it would have been fun if that service was still available!

It is 15/day. And you set the code. When you get your locker. Take a pic so you don't forget the number. Also! Everytime I leave for the day, I offer a locked to another family and just give them the code I used, i usually write it on the receipt and hand it to them. A little good karma!

      Maybe just rent a locker

  • @toddw8396
    @toddw8396 2 года назад +4

We shouldn’t even be talking about renting lockers to stash purchases. Package Services: send to front of park AND send to Disney resort are suspended. The alternative: guests to 1.) pay to store purchases and 2.) waste time walking packages to the front of the park where lockers are located. No, this is not creating a good guest experience. Even just bringing back the send to the front of the park service would make guests happier and Disney merchandise sales would probably increase significantly. Nobody wants to carry and stuff packages into ride vehicles all day.

@@justins9886 I asked several store managers their thoughts about package services (back in March). They all said the same thing: they have been BEGGING upper management to bring these back. Convenient for the guest and helps the stores make the sales that upper management demands of theses stores.

I mean, you could also just shop as you're leaving the parks, no? If you're on your way out at that point, you'll only have to carry everything from the shops, out of the park, onto/off of transportation, and back to your room/rental/home. It's an alternative until the parks do finally bring back the sent to room/ship home options. Although, as I type this, I think the "send to room" option has been reinstated for deluxe resorts, at least. I could be mistaken...

I have not used them but I have used other Disney travel planners and the point of using them for us, is not that they are cheaper (they are generally the same as online like you said) but rather they are free and they book reservations for you as soon as you can and can help build your itinerary. You know, the stuff people get all stressed out about generally.

I understand people enjoy the perk but I wish Disney would consider that some people can’t afford to skip the line. That could break hearts of a lot of little kids. What I wish Disney would do is make it so if the group instead of using the correct line cutting ahead of people in the standard que line they loose their reservation if they were rude to the people they were cutting in front of
