Replace timing belt and tension roller Volvo 240, 740 and 940 Part 1

This video is section 1 of 2.
We start by removing the cooler to get the best video angles to this guide. You do not need to remove the radiator but can be of advantage if you want more space to move around. Replace the belt to the Volvo 740 are every 8,000 miles or every 4 years dependent which comes first.
There is a special tool with article number 999 5284 which can make it easier to remove the bolt that holds the pulley on the crankshaft. If you do not have access to this tool, you can try a nut impact wrench like we use in this video.
On this Volvo 740 model with B230F engine, we do not need to follow the marking on the drive to the oil pump, this marking applies only to models that have block distributors.
The cam belt and the tension roller in the video are of the CONTITECH brand and have article number CT643K1.
